  Great Location - Terrible Condo

  We stayed at this resort in #107A over Thanksgiving this year. The location is outstanding, but this particular condominium is horrible. We booked through a travel agent who was unaware that the condominiums in this resort are owned and managed through several different individuals and companies. The condominium was very dirty, had stains all over the rugs, rotting handles in the tubs/showers, a broken safe, a light from the exterior that shined directly through the curtains into the guest bedroom,flimsy windows, and furniture/paint, etc, that had not been updated in several decades. We had the opportunity to view a different condo in this complex when we befriended a fellow vacationer, and it was much, much nicer than ours. So I'd say, only stay at this resort if you ASK not to be in this condo and are GUARANTEED a clean, updated unit.

  great customer service and location

  The resort is located an easy walk from the coconut marketplace and coastal bike path.We had an ocean view room a few short steps from the pool.The staff was very helpful and friendly,and was a perfect example of the aloha spirt. The lava lava club which was across from our room is an excellent restaurant and lounge,which had delicious food and ambience.They also had entertainment every night..

  Disappointing For This Price!

  I would not recommend this place. The location is great-right on the water, but they really do not keep up the property/condo units. The carpet was ripped, the toilet was cracked, our refrigerator stopped working, hot water heater stopped working. It is really expensive for an older, run-down condo. Also, the pool area closed at sunset and there is no jacuzzi. We found that to be very odd. You can definitely do better for the price. I will not return.

  Do Your Research Before Booking

  Complicated place to review, as there is a level of 'buyer beware' that you can inform yourself of, so if your expectations are right then you won't necessarily be disappointed, but depending on who you're booking through, it can be easy to miss that the standards & amenities of these units vary considerably as they can have different owners. The unit I was in was dated but not terrible. No cleanliness problems and wouldn't have been the worst value generally, depending on how many are in your group and what you're wanting (location is pretty good). But some things were definitely a bit sad, either well worn or not working, such as the shower in my bedroom - didn't feel the need to report until checking out as there was another shower in the unit, so didn't impact my stay but overall just a bit poorly maintained. My biggest issue was the lack of A/C, which is on me as I did think from reading the details where I booked that this was included in all units, but a little more research and clear reading on my part would have shown that not all units have A/C. However, it was oppressively hot (and I think the fan in the other bedroom didn't even work), so I slept terribly while here and I think the price paid was definitely at a level that A/C should be inclusive, especially when looking at it in comparison to other accommodation I used across the islands. So if you're looking at this, would advise carefully checking exactly which unit you're reserving & what's included.

  Perfect Place to Relax

  We booked a two week stay in 104C and had a fantastic time. This condo, like the rest in C building is privately owned so we knew exactly what we were getting when we booked. We were thankful for the AC while we were there as the lack of breeze meant the condo did not cool down overnight. The only issue we had was the internet went out in all of building C for a few days, which had nothing to do with the owner, but was still usable at the pool and rest of the resort. The condo had everything we needed included fantastic views from both lanais. We spent hours just watching the dolphins, turtles, whales and birds. The location can't be beat, right on the water with a short walk over to Poipu beach as well as the Maha'ulepu trail which we walked and ran almost daily. The pool was surprisingly warm which meant it was easy to stay in the water to play for a long period (great with kids). The pool being right on the water meant great views. There wasn't a lot of shade but we were always able to grab a table with an umbrella as it was never busy. We loved our stay in this condo and would love to stay again!
