  Decent three star hotel

  When reviewing hotels I feel its important to take into account the hotels class. This is an independent three star hotel. I thought in its class it was great. Ive stayed in various hotels like this across the UK with work and this is one of the better ones. We had 7 of us staying and the standard of rooms varied widely. Some had massive rooms with Netflix and four poster beds! I was in a small corner room. It was well presented. It was clean. The bathroom was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The bed had four luxurious pillows and was exceptionally comfortable. The breakfast was very good (for the class of hotel Ive stayed in many 3 star independents that have inedible breakfast not so here). The staff were really friendly and we enjoyed a great evening in the bar. I highly recommend

  Sunday Lunch

  Visited with my family for Sunday Lunch The restaurant is smart, the waiting staff attentive but the quality of the food lets it down.I was warned by a fellow diner to avoid the turkey - decided to chance it, my mistake, it was the cheapest of the cheap, poorer than local transport cafe. The beef was just above average, with some of our table having tasty, tender slices and two others with tougher pieces. The dessert portions were not uniform , with some very small portions. A All in all it struggles to get an average rating, there are far more better to enjoy Sunday Lunch in the Neath area - especially in relation to the quality of the meats.

  A brief overnight stay with breakfast

  Well set out room and adequate basic shower facilities. Amply suited the purpose of my stay. Parking can be a little problematic. The breakfast room had recently been upgraded and the full English breakfast was up to expected standards. The hotel restaurant has a good reputation for its culinary menu. My stay was prior to April 2019.

  Delicious lunch

  Had the steak pie and the cod. Big portions for lunch but saying that it was a full price menu too even for lunchtime. Good quality food freshly cooked. Cant wait to return midweek for the eat out offer.

  Cracking little place for overnight, very pleasantly surprised at how well this hotel was run rooms small but adequate for us clean, tea coffee in room, right in centre of town, and breakfast was spot on, nothing to much bother very nice staff. Would definitely stay again thanks
