On the upside - decor was clean and tidy, lovely food, quiet location, nice shower, quiet functioning air con. On the downside - having been told by the hotel that we needed to book as soon as possible as they only had one room left, we were the only people there (other than some rather, understandably, bored staff). It was expensive for the area given there was no wi-fi in the bedrooms, no English TV, no pool. If you're passing through and money isn't tight, this is a good hotel for you.

A wonderful stay !
What an amazing Hotel. Small on the outside, like Doctor Who's Tardis on the inside. Rooms were spotless, staff excellent (mainly the the middle aged chap at the front desk) he spoke very good English. Only one piece of advice, there are still smokers, and it would be nice to have a covered heated area outside. The food also superb. A great place, and a great stay ! Thank you.

Not our favourite place
Somebody has spent a fortune converting a nice old building into a featureless modern hotel with no atmosphere - the room was comfortable although the joystick tap in the bathroom took some understanding. We were slightly amused when the night manager watched we two 70 year olds struggle with our luggage on arrival, and less amused when the day manager stood and watched us struggle on departure - when I remonstrated with him he shrugged his shoulders and walked away without a word. Dinner was a disaster - we chose the gourmand menu and expected the "piece de boeuf pour deux personnes" to be a nice cut of beef but was instead inedible, gristly, fatty meat which we returned to the chef - no apology and no reduction on the bill. Second night we ate very well at Les Tables du Bistrots which is a 5 minute drive away. Enjoyed wonderful golf at Golf du Porcelaine. Will not stay at this hotel again.
