  The worst hotel front desk service.

  I book 3 rooms from 27/06/13 - 29/06/13. I booked directly with the hotel. I have inform them that will be checking out late and she charge me additional 80 rm per room . My mom is an amputee so she needs a bit of time to get ready and the front office lady which is rude and grumpy from day 1 complain to my aunt that i told her that i was going to check out at 8.00pm and she ask my aunty who was waiting for us at the lobby to pay addiitional 60 rm .We check out at 8.24pm. it's Only 24mins and that unfriendly grumpy rude Renuka devi charge us 20rm per room. This is the most unacceptable thing that has ever happen to me so be careful. I have travel all over this is the 1st time a hotel that is just 1 star charges 20rm for 24mins. SO BEWARE OF Her.

  Not for holidays, Yes for rest

  Location is easy, near the main intersection of Ipoh x Port Weld x Taiping x Butterworth. Plenty of eating places (new KFC across the road, McD 300mtr away). Chinese hawker centre across the road. Car Park is plenty too but not sure if parking coupon is required during the day as it is a municipal car park. What's good about this hotel? Clean enough with small LCD tv and 1HP aircond (which i believe requires servicing) Clean bathroom with heater. OK bed, enough for resting in between trips. Hey, they have a lift inside! Why I would not return Door lock is filmsy so I do not feel secure if there is a group of robbers came because it won't last few kicks to the door. Room design is poor that they have ventilation mirror on top of the door which you can hear people talking on the corridors or the common tv areas. During my stay, there was a quarrel and it was so bad that one of the guys is calling the police. Conclusion With family, better head to Warisan Taiping or Taiping Perdana. This is a very basic motel or suited for backpackers.

  Quite clean but average

  The 9 of us drove from Kuala Pilah to Taiping on our way to Betong during the 3rd day of Chinese New Year. We reached Taiping at about 7 pm and decided to stay for a night at Taiping before continuing our journey the next morning to Betong. We did not search for hotel at the city center of Taiping as there may be no parking space for our cars and the city center was a distance from Sepatang village where we intended to have our seafood dinner. We tried to get a room at Liner Hotel but it was fully booked. We managed to book two rooms at this hotel: one at the first floor and the other at the second floor. The reception lobby looked clean and there was just ample public parking place outside the hotel. There was a lift and it saved the trouble climbing stairs with your luggage. My room had 3 beds and equipped with air-conditioner and a separate toilet and bathroom cubicle. There was a small LCD TV in the room. The air conditioner in our room was good but my relatives complained that the air conditioner in their room was not working well and was not cold. My room looked clean but the moment we tried to move the beds to join them for bigger space, we found spider web, dust and debris under the beds. The unsightly dirt and dust deterred us from moving the beds further. The sanitary flush toilet was alright and functioning. The water heater was also functioning and we had no complaint of the cleanliness in the toilet. But our sleep was disturbed by the noise of water flushing from the upper floor toilet early in the morning. The hotel management should think of way to minimize this noise coming from the upper floor. The washing basin was not located inside the toilet but just outside the toilet in the room. It should be ideally located inside the toilet so that every activity could be done inside the toilet including washing our face and brushing our teeth. The hooks to hang the clothes in the bathroom were also placed too high and could not be reached by those who were shorter in height. The table and wardrobe in the room were quite old. Two complimentary bottles of mineral water were also provided. Generally, my impression was that it was quite clean but average. It was not a trendy and modern hotel. I felt that the price should be cheaper for the type of basic amenities and average service. We only checked in for one night and check-out early in the morning to continue our journey to Betong.

  Hotel for budget traveller with basic amenities

  Clean and good bed hotel for budget travelers. Air condition works well. Hot shower is provided. no tea/coffee making facilities. good for budget traveler because of it's location as it's not far from the highway. supposed comes with free wifi but it did not work in the room.
