  A very disappointing stay

  It is true that things sometime look too good to be true. That was certainly the case with our experience of Casale di Tormaggiore. The room was large but the aircon could not cope with the summer temperature (about 34 degrees in mid July) despite making all that noise. The room (as for the rest of the guest buildings) was very dated and dirty. Internet was only available outside the reception despite being marketed as being available in the room. Only one positive to highlight - the nice garden surrounding the main house. Certainly worth the 10 minute walk.

  Awesome property

  This was another place in Italy that google maps gave us the run around. Apparently the shortest route there was down a closed road which brought us to a gate where we could not gain access. The Expedia site listed the wrong phone number so if it wasn't for another guest arriving we would have left and went to the Howard Johnson's or something. This was our last night in Italy and it could have been better. #1 we should have received an email with specific instructions on check in and directions! Do you think we are the only people that use google maps! Other than that the property was nice but needed more staff to get it looking great

  Great out of the city experience in Rome

  Stay at Casale di Tormaggiore was an amazing experience and most importantly the staff was very friendly and helpful. Mr. Dilesha helped us to plan our activities in Rome and really appreciate his hospitality during our stay. Rooms were clean and it was a pleasant experience.

  A gem in the middle of pandemic!!

  Gem in the middle of pandemic!! An outdoor swimming pool in the middle of an enchanted garden. The place exceeded our expectation even though we booked last minute. The apartments are spacious and each of them have a well curated private garden. If you are looking for the perfect place to relax and forget every chaos in the city, I highly recommend you this place. Dill really did a good job ensuring all guest are safe while in the villa. We will definitely come back!

  Chilled way to see Rome

  We arrived at the point the break in the long hot drought arrived, which brought thunder, cloud and rain so we weren't able to enjoy it to its fullest. Beautiful gardens, 2 fabulous swimming pools, surrounded by fields and with a charming manager who speaks fluent English and was incredibly kind and helpful - well beyond the call of duty. We had been upgraded to a bigger apartment which was well appointed and spacious. Continental Breakfast offered plenty of choice. The only thing missing was the sun.... a shame, breakfast by the pool would have been lovely. A five minute drive from the railway station which has a huge empty free car park. 15 minutes on the train into the centre of Rome for 2.20 - so easy and completely stress-free. We also used it as a base to visit the beautiful coastline with long sandy beaches, historic coastal town Terra Cena, Castel Gandolfo on Lake Albano, the Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery at Anzio and the US WW2 cemetery at Nettuno. We had a good stay here and would recommend it if you prefer to be somewhere more chilled and avoid city hotels, or want to explore outside Rome. Hire car is essential.
