  Excellent Stay and wedding at Casale Cardini

  We would like to say a huge thank you to the staff at Casale Cardini! We had our wedding here, alongside a weeks long stay. Everything about our visit here was perfect. The accommodation was immaculate and was cleaned throughout to an excellent standard. The location is perfect, close to Foiano della Chiana and surrounded by beautiful Tuscan countryside! We also had an amazing breakfast each day. We had our wedding here and we would describe it as a perfect day. Our ceremony wasn't until 17:00 due to the temperature. So our guests could relax throughout the day, spending most of their time enjoying the swimming pool! The ceremony was amazing and perfect for us- relaxed and simplistic! This was followed by prosecco next to the pool. Shortly after that, was our reception meal. The food was absolutely outstanding. All the staff helped us to create a great atmosphere and since returning back to the UK, none of our guests have stopped talking about how amazing the wedding was. We cannot compliment our hosts, Peter and Sieska, enough. They were fabulous and were always happy to help us with anything we needed! Thank you so much for making our day extra special!   Tuscany experience

  A wonderful experience. Amazing views across the Tuscan countryside. We were made to feel very welcome and the property was ideally located for our road trip through Tuscany and Umbria. Absolutely no complaints.

  Lovely setting for a wedding

  My sister in law has just got married at this villa. It is a lovely place with very good staff, they couldnt do enough for them. The immediate family all stayed, we shared room 6 with my in laws. Our room was upstairs, however this didnt have a door so could be really noisy if people were in the living room downstairs. The air con doesnt work brilliantly so we ended up having the windows open to get air in. The bathroom is basic but the shower is good enough. It does have a hairdryer but attached to the wall so no good when there are 4 people needing to use it so take one with you. There is only one large mirror upstairs so getting ready can be awkward as we had a lot of visitors whilst trying to change! There a lovely pool, rather cold but nice with the hot weather along with a hot tub. Theres also a large area to play games Breakfast is served in the room down in the gardens. It is a little warm in that room. Theres an honesty bar so you can take drinks then just add it to your rooms tab. The breakfast was very good, not a huge selection but still very nice. The first night pizzas were provided from a local restaurant which were amazing. For the wedding they provided several courses & all the food was incredible! On the Sunday they provided a bbq also very good The staff were very excellent, a couple didnt speak English but others did speak some so it was enough to get by. We didnt have our rooms cleaned & only came in once with towels but you can ask for more. The whole villa was hired for the wedding so Im unsure how it would work if hiring just a room with regards to cleaning service. We were there for 3 nights. There is a local town just a 10 minute down the road, theres a supermarket to get a few bits & also a nice pub with reasonably priced cocktails. My sister & brother in law had the most amazing wedding & loved everything. The service they had was fantastic so no doubt we will be going back for a family holiday.

  Beautiful location but awful experience and just plain confusing.

  We've just come back from what was supposed to be a weeks stay here for our grandparents 60th wedding anniversary, although our flight was cancelled so we ended up missing 2 days, and I must say I'm thoroughly disappointed. The service we received is what I can only describe as dreadful! After booking the property for our exclusive use, we were informed that they had finished re-furbishing one of the rooms and had booked it out to another family. Not a great start. A maid service is apparently included in the price where they were to replace towels, make beds and clean daily. As per most establishments. I think some of us only received one set of towels for the week and no beds were ever made. They didn't even empty the bins! The whole set up needs rethinking. They don't provide lunch or dinner, but neither are there any self catering facilities. Sometimes it is nice not to have to eat out for lunch and dinner every day. The rooms are fine but simple. You weren't allowed to bring your own drinks to the outdoor seating area as they want you to use their honesty bar where the prices are just extortionate! The very worst experience I think we've ever experienced on a holiday came when we checked out. After informing the staff that we would be departing by 7am the following day, we were told we couldn't pay our bill that night as the person who was in charge was in Barcelona. Right... So the following day there was nobody around to check us out, so we left our keys in the doors and left thinking we can sort out the bill over the phone as we had to catch our flight. A couple of hours later we received a call from the owner screaming down the phone that we had walked away without paying and that he was calling the police! After asking him why he wasn't there when we checked out he said he turned up at 8:30am and we had already left! Well we weren't going to miss our flight because the man was too lazy to be there when we checked out and the other chap who was 'in charge of the accounts' was in Barcelona. Quite frankly the most poorly run and most disappointing waste of a beautiful building I can possibly think of. I'm sure it's great for a wedding but if they are going to offer a regular holiday experience then they need to sort themselves out!

  During stay big party 2 meters from room.150 guests with noise. Nobody informed us. Owner not reachable.

  Big party last night of our stay. Nobody informed us and could not reach owner. Next day no breakfast in time. please be aware this can happen to you as well! Till 2 oçlock noise. Disrespect for guest. Also no bar and no restaurant. Breakfast is poor.
