  The best place in Ragusa!

  The most beautiful and charming place we experienced in Sicilia. Beautiful, clean, and with a really warm welcome. You feel at home in this authentic farm from 18th century. We spent a wonderful time there. The 2nd place to visit in Ragusa after the Duomo!

  What a wonderful week!

  My partner and I spent our summer holiday in Casale 1821. We had the most fantastic time. The room is beautiful and comes with a very powerful air conditioner (thank god! It was 35 degrees!). Our room was massive and cleaned daily by a very friendly maid. Our host was Lucio, Lucio is an extremely generous and kind person - he was more than happy to tell us about Sicily, to book us restaurants and taxis and one evening he even drove us to town so we could have a couple of drinks. It's so rare to have such good service, we felt like royalty. We had lovely breakfasts, fresh fruits and cappuccinos (feeling very Sicilian) and some gorgeous cakes and pastries. The location is 15 minutes drive to Ragusa, which is beautiful and 20 minutes to the Marina which is great for a swim. We also went to Noto (45 mins drive) and scicili (25 mins) and Sam pieri (beautiful beach). The Casale is an excellent hub for exploring. When we didn't feel like driving around we stayed by the pool, the pool is very refreshing in the heat! And in the evenings we didn't get a cab, we just ordered takeaway (which was great and really cheap) and drank some nice wine. There is a supermarket 5 mins drive away. The drive from Catania airport is about 1 hour 10 mins (rarely any traffic) and is really easy. After you're out the airport it's all highway (and is smooth sailing). We loved our stay here and really recommend staying here. It's a new resort (one year old) and it's beautiful and charming. We'll be back!

  Muy bonito, trato mejorable

  El lugar tiene muchísimo encanto, el jardín es precioso, pero faltó mejor trato por parte de la persona encargada del desayuno, eché de menos simpatía y amabilidad (Por cierto, con lo bonita que es la zona exterior, yo pondría en el patio las mesas para el desayuno, no en un sala cerrada). Sin embargo, la propietaria sí que es muy sociable y servicial. También debo decir que en la habitación faltan algunos "detallitos", como percheros para las toallas porque solo había uno en el baño pegado a la mampara de la ducha. También falta un portarrollos para el papel higiénico, había que dejarlo siempre encima del bidé o de una estantería. Espero que mejoren próximamente porque el lugar tiene mucho potencial.

  Fantastic Stay

  We were a party of five staying at this location for three nights. First off the location is ideal for those wishing to explore both the Ragusa area and the villages of Scicli, Modica and Vittoria. Furthermore the sea is just a short drive away. The rooms are very spacious and comfortable however what is truly impressive is the level of cleanliness - a big well done to the staff who handles this. The outdoor area, including the pool are also impeccably clean and the pool is large. Breakfast is good, maybe not the largest of selections but everything fresh and tasty. In particular the fresh fruit and nuts. The wifi is also good and there is a strong connection in every room. Finally its also worth pointing out that there is a large parking area which is closed off - hence if you have a car with you this gives you the necessary peace of mind. Will definitely be returning.

  pretty house - noisy parties

  The place is pretty but not suitable for a quiet vacation. We were six people in three rooms. We stayed there for three nights. We never met the owner, and no one we met could speak English. The house is located on a busy road with traffic that makes it unpleasant to sit outside by the pool. It feels like sitting in a parking lot. On Friday night the patio outside our rooms was rented for a birthday party of an 18 years old girl. They installed huge loudspeakers and a DJ played extremely loud music. The loud music went on from 9:30 PM, accompanied by fireworks close to midnight, until close to 1 AM. The next morning the owner wrote to me a Whatsapp message explaining that the music was lowered at 12.30 well below the municipal regulations fixing that cut-off time at 2 am . The owner thinks it is right to have a party outside your room because it may be legal according to municipal regulations. So if you come here you must be prepared to share your night with a teenage party. My suggestion: AVOID!
