Excellent place near Florence for a leisure stayWe stayed here for one night on our way to Florence. This hotel is located in very beautiful place on the top of the hill. It has great view to surroundings including Florence. Easy to find. Property has cool water pool which worked overnight (even if it was written, that it will be closed at 8pm). It has very convenient and big rooms. Convenient check in (we came late, when personnel left the hotel, however they left us keys from apartment). Cozy space for eating both inside the room and outside it. Calm and quiet atmosphere. Winery in the walking distance with not-so-bad wine. As for downside... It provides hugely expensive breakfast. There were a lot of mosquito around. We tried to have dinner outside, but were forced to go home and close all windows against mosquito. Right next to the hotel there is an abandoned house which looks exactly like in horror movies. My kids were afraid of it. Anyway we loved our stay there and would love to come back at some point

quiet hideawayI stayed here with my husband for 3 nights while on our trip thru tuscany check in was very easy and quick- we stayed in the tower dependence with lots of stairs so if you cant do lots of stairs including your luggage I suggest to not book that room. The room however has a beautiful view overlooking the hills. its very spacious and clean. Cleaning supplies were left in our bathroom which I thought was a bit strange but otherwise everything was nice and soap and some shampoo is provided. There is a kitchenette available as well, no kettle unfortunately. I didnt actually realize when booking the place that they didnt have a restaurant as it looked like they did based on their pictures and seeing as they offer this location as a wedding location as well. So for dinner you either have to cook yourself or go out to places nearby. Breakfast is nice and eggs and bacon are made fresh to order which is very nice compared to luke warm scrambled eggs sitting on a buffet. The breakfast room is quaint, maybe some music would make it a bit more enjoyable. the pool area is beautiful and very clean. the pool actually being quite large and also lots of lounge chairs. We didnt see towels anywhere so we took ones from our room.. towels didnt really get replaced thruout our stay- this would have been nice to have. The staff is very friendly and full of suggestions of where to eat and go. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would probably stay here again if we traveled with a larger group and once their restaurant is open. The winery Casalbosco is excellent as well and we had a wine tasting there which was complimentary with our stay. Very interesting and lots of information and very good wine and vin santo. great value and great to take back home with you! Will definitely be ordering more when we get back. Thank you again

Lovely setting but room definitely not worth the priceBooked with their site a classic room. Site states minibar in room etc. Monolocale was also available and at a cheaper price but we opted for what we believed would give a little more service. So after waiting for someone to arrive... Be clear there us only someone in reception at very specific hours and after that there is no one.. We were taken to our room. Simple small... A bit smelly... But after I opebef windows and threw out the dirty baby diaper from the bathroom it improved. No minibar to be found. Went to reception who explained to me that I was wrong. I showed her my printed info from their site... She still explained how I was wrong and stated "we are not a hotel we only do apartments." Well silly me that prepaid to get a super discounted rated of 113 plus euro instead of the 85 euro for a monolocale because I thought there was more service. My advice... Positive for view. Pool fine but all seats were taken...with towels not with people. But quality price is not there. In fact we are staying in another attached place this evening that we rechecked in person and price is lower with better accommodations. So maybe for a week stay with lots of young kids (who were the most common guests at Casalbosco that we met) you can get a cheap price and since three is Noone around you xan party all night at the pool.
