Get awayThis is right at the top of my list of quality places to stay. Home made breakfast made with love. The rooms are very clean and nicely decorated. Very comfortable beds and all set in a very quiet and beautiful Arizona desert. The home is keep very clean and tidy. Its close enough to sights but far enough out for your retreat from the rat race. The host and Hostess are great and I believe they really aim to please. I highly recommend this place for a great getaway.

Get awayCasa Tierra is a very nice and very remote B&B. It is extremely clean and well set up if you are looking for a way to unplug and get away. The rooms are of good size and the breakfast makes vegan worth eating. We really enjoyed the sunset views from one of the patios and the small chimera on our rooms private patio was used each night we were there. I do believe this is mainly for couples but they can accommodate small families as they have a two bedroom suite. The inn keeper Steinen (pronounced Staynan) is a delight and a good source of information on the area. They do have internet but cell phone is spotty and there is no TV or radio in the rooms. We enjoyed that but I do want to warn some of the folks who have not unplugged for years and go thru withdrawal when they can't live on their phones. If you do take children or even if you want to have a great time as well as learn about the area and desert you are in you must go to the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum. It has great exhibits, Native animals, an aviary and humming bird encloser, and a great deal of info on the geology and flora and fauna of the region. It is well worth the trip and is only 2-3 miles from Casa Tierra. Plan on spending at least 2-3 hours and longer would be better.

Wonderful B&BA great B&B. Very comfortable rooms & beds. Clean. Good layout. Great location for outdoor activities. Lovely environment for a restful &/or adventurous stay. Beautiful grounds with wildlife & lots of stars. Wonderful breakfasts. Steinen does a great job hosting. We definitely hope to stay again.

Escape into nature! This property is nestled in the Sonoran Desert. You will see so many stars and shooting stars, desert wildlife and plants as though you have your own piece of paradise. Yet, it's a short drive from Tucson and very close to attractions (Desert Museum and Old Tucson). The views are rich and the lighting is a photographer's dream. Steinen, the owner, has a professional degree in architecture and has expertly designed the spaces and experience to reflect the surrounding southwest culture and landscape.

The B&B was the best part of my tripThis enchanting B&B was the best part of my trip. I got so spoiled by the desert view and the host's pampering that I longed to be at the B&B instead of sightseeing. Saguaro National Park was good and so was the Desert Museum and Mt Lemon, but I preferred the scenery and gorgeous sunrises from my peaceful relaxing charming quiet room. The layout of the building is perfect for privacy. This is not a converted home it is perfectly designed guest lodge. The location is incredible; right by all the desert attractions. Wildlife is everywhere. I saw coyotes, deer, a roadrunner, and even a Harris Hawk and other raptors thanks to my favorite part of the trip--a session with Sky Island Falconry right behind the B&B. Steinen went above and beyond every day insuring I was comfortable and stuffed with her delicious cooking and abundant snacks. She is so considerate, and she dedicated so much time to making my visit wonderful. Just loved everything about this place.
