Lovely Relaxing GetawayWe stayed at the Bantam Roost for 3 nights. And we were celebrating our anniversary. It was such a wonderful getaway! The casa itself was well equipped, beautifully decorated and very cozy. The bed and sheets were so nice. And the place looked immaculate! Having outdoor area to relax right there with a meditation hut and about 40 super cute chickens for company was just awesome. We felt very relaxed. Richard was very helpful as usual and provided us with fresh eggs and snacks. We will surely return!

A Beautiful OasisMy husband and I absolutely adore Casa Gallina. It is our peaceful sanctuary and beloved get away. Richard is the proprietor extraordinaire. He is the most gracious, lovely, and accommodating host I have ever experienced, and we travel extensively. Upon your arrival, Richard ensures you have snacks and wine waiting for you. He also supplies you with fresh, amazing eggs from Casa Gallina's chickens (the girls). And his personally delivered baked goodies in the morning are to die for! Casa Gallina surrounds you with beautiful spacious grounds, with an array of outdoor seating for dining, lounging, and relaxing. Our extended family recently visited. It was wonderful having the spacious areas outside to eat and relax, and each individual family had their own private, beautiful casita. It was perfect. Richard also takes extra precautions during Covid to make sure all casitas are cleaned, sanitized, and aired for 48 hours, before guests arrive. I feel incredibly safe. I have found that Casa Gallina is also a wonderful place to work remotely, even for long stays. It's so quiet and peaceful. I look forward to spending a winter stay, working, and cozying up to the kiva fireplace. As you can tell, I can't say enough about this very special oasis. You will, without a doubt, enjoy your stay immensely.

Oasis in a magical placeThis was our second trip to Casa Gallina -- first in the summer, and this trip over New Year's for five nights. Our only complaint is the stay was not long enough. The Bantam Roost is our favorite casita on the planet -- beautifully and thoughtfully designed and appointed, we now think of it as our second home. There is no clock in the rooms which reminds you to slow down and unplug. Richard's hospitality is without parallel, and the daily eggs from "the girls" remind you of what eggs are supposed to taste like. Heaven in Taos.

A breath of fresh air amidst a heavy yearThis was our first trip to New Mexico and my wife and I agree it will not be our last. We felt so welcomed and our dog adored it as well. So much space to run around and so many friendly lovers of dogs to greet him with cheerful pets! Richard has truly created something magical here. From the delightfully cozy casitas to the beautifully rustic and natural landscape to the fresh bakes and fresh eggs, every detail makes you feel deeply cared for. It was such a rare experience in a world that often requires so much output form us all to have such an intentional space meant for calming and restoring ones spirit. We stayed in the Bantam Roost which felt like the coziest roost of all! A beautiful casita that was private and the most charming place to cozy up by the gorgeous fire each afternoon/evening. Richard has endless knowledge of the area, and provided us with so much helpful information about the best local and small businesses for finding all the food, coffee and treats we needed, and of all the gorgeous hikes and outdoor activities in the surrounding area. We feel so grateful to have found Casa Gallina to escape for a few days. It was the perfect place to hide out from pandemic world safe, private, and carefully disinfected and aired-out prior to our arrival ensuring our safety and a true break from the struggles of this past year. As gorgeous as it all was in the Winter we also cannot wait to return in warmer months to experience its Spring and summertime vibrancy! We highly recommend Casa Gallina for any season, for vacation or an efficient and peaceful remote work space away from home. It is such a versatile, lovely, and unique place to stay including as a reenergizing refuge from the current heaviness of the world.
