  totally relaxed

  A group of friends like to get away to relax and do a bit of walking. We hit on this wonderful country house and I was thrilled by our visit. The welcome was friendly, the rooms comfortable and the fire in the bar was lovely, we didn't want to move. All of the staff were so nice, very chatty without being in your face. The breakfasts were lovely, freshly cooked and plenty of whatever we wanted. Our dinner was great, very good food, well prepared and well served. Looking forward to returning.

  Romantic night out

  Our first visit to a place on our doorstep has not disappointed us. Food was fantastic with great flavours, good portions and when dessert came we were stuffed after eating 4 bites. Staff were very courteous and a lovely ambience in the place. Definitely will come back and recommend the place highly.

  Absolutely lovely stay near the airport

  We just happened to be near Shannon when we decided we needed to get a place to spend the night. Saw this on Trip Advisor and decided to call and reserve a room. We were greeted by Charlotte and given a ground floor room as we had requested. Very spacious room, large bathroom very updated and clean. We loved the number and accessibility of the outlets in the room as well. The restaurant was closed on Monday, but we received some great recommendations for dinner. When we returned, Gillian, the co-owner with her husband, was there to greet us. She prepared a pot of tea and some of her husband's delicious homemade brownies for us. We had a nice chat and went to bed. Next morning - lovely breakfast with anything you would want. Their homemade breads and jams are absolutely incredible. The next evening after we left, we heard of the US travel ban and quickly had to make new flight reservations out of Shannon. Of course, Carrygerry Country House was our first choice to stay in. It's only a few minutes from the airport. They very graciously gave us our same room, which we had been very pleased with the first time. The restaurant was open that evening. Before dinner, in the den, we sat with a few other 'stranded' people and had something to drink. Gillian was the ultimate hostess. Very gracious and kind. We had asked her if we might just have a soup and sandwich since we weren't very hungry and she graciously obliged. The veg soup was amazing. This place is reknown for its food and i can totally see why. They also have several shetland ponies on the premises that are fun to watch. The surrounding countryside is absolutely peaceful and beautiful. It's on an estuary as well. Very quiet. However, the best part about it is Charlotte and Gillian! You will be made to feel right at home in this fantastic B&B. HIghly recomment!!!Thank you, Gillian!!!!!

  Amazing B&B

  I would recommend staying at Carrygerry for so many reasons...the.food is incredible - both dinner and breakfast. The views are classic Ireland. Gillian and Charlotte were so gracious and warm. Highly recommend whether for dinner - getaway! And for business their.location is no more than minutes from Shannon. It's a hidden gem that should be a must!

  What a fantastic place with amazing food in beautiful surroundings. Gillian and her staff went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed ourselves. The pork croquettes were one of the best things I've ever eaten and we can't wait to go back and experience it all over again. Highly recommend the Carrygerry Country House
