  Brilliant Hotel, Location & Hospitality

  Spent an amazing weekend at the Carousel hotel Blackpool. Location just perfect. Staff really welcoming & hospitality second to none. Food excellent & plenty of it! Good clean rooms. Very good value for money.will definitely recommend it.

  Weekend Visit Great Value & Great Staff

  Just returned after spending a weekend in Blackpool to enjoy the illuminations and pleasure beach for our sons 10th birthday. Booked initially back in March for another event which of course was cancelled. Re-booking could not have been easier and the hotel was so accommodating with our request to bring an extra child! I must admit to being a little nervous as have heard some horror stories about accommodation in Blackpool, but there really was no need to worry! I still cant get over the value for money the hotel provides. Check in super friendly and easy, room spotlessly clean! Absolutely perfect for 2 adults and 2 kids. Bathroom whilst the shower is a little small is perfectly equipped and very clean. We dined in the restaurant both nights, getting a complimentary bottle of wine. Who can complain at that. Loads of good choice for both adults and kids and crazy portion sizes. Breakfast both morning was also very good. Something for everyone! 15 mins walk to the Pleasure beach but the tram stop is just across the road so you can travel the full promenade which we did to see the illuminations. An ideal spot away from the noise but close enough to enjoy! Finally the staff in the restaurant were sooooo friendly and accommodating! One morning the breakfast was very busy but they kept us updated and apologised for the wait. Was not a problem for us, we enjoyed the time to relax. I would definitely recommend this hotel. No its not luxury and if that is what you are after then look elsewhere and pay the price. If you want a good clean friendly hotel in a good location that is exceptional value for money, then this is for you! Thanks to all the team at the Carousel you do a great job!!

  Weekend break

  Stayed here Friday 25th -27th- fast check in friendly staff had sea view room 3rd floor for us 2 adults 2 children with sofa bed kids loved it. room and hotel very clean throughout no complaints:) breakfast was lovely well organised and table service (due to covid) , would defiantly recommend this hotel for all :) only downfall it is just passed the pleasure beach bit of a walk but we didnt mind at all, good walk to tyre the kids out to, we got tram back which is cheap enough going both ways aswell and tram stop is right outside hotel which is helpful. Thank you carousel hotel we will be back :)

  Terrible hotel

  On checking in to the hotel we had asked for a room with sea view but due to it being last minute we were told there was none available so we will probably be looking out to the rear carpark. Unfortunately we were looking out to a brick wall 8ft from our dirty window. (You will see these marvelous views in the pictures attached). The "flat screen tv" advertised in the room was about 20" so you would need good eyesight to see it when lying in bed. From 7am doors were banging in corridor below every minute. Rooms are roasting with no aircon but when you open the windows the draft makes the door bang constant so needed to jam a towel at the bottom of it and the bathroom ceiling panels are noisy due to the draft from open windows also. There is no ceiling light so the only lights available are 3 side lamps and due to the lack of sunlight from our brick wall view the room was constantly dull. If you try to have a shower after 9:30am on a weekend there is no hot water. If you decide to have breakfast at the later time slot of 9:30am everything on the plate will be dry like it has been sitting on a hotplate for several hours. I would not recommend a stay here after our visit.

  Good 3 Star Hotel

  Stayed for 1 night at a small family gathering. Limited car parking facilities directly outside the hotel on a first come first served basis. It is located at the south end of Blackpool almost at Squires Gate and is about a 10 minute walk to the Pleasure Beach. A handy tram stop is available almost across the road. Efficient checking in process with friendly staff. The hotel takes the covid situation very seriously and it was pleasing to note they have gone the extra mile to ensure staff and guests safety. My room intself was a single with sea view. It was clean and spacious enough for my needs. Ambient noise was satisfactory. The room contained tea/coffee making facilities, a modern shower, tv and very good free wifi. My only slight niggle was that the bed mattress wasn't the most comfortable. Breakfast was served at our table the next morning rather than being self serve due to Covid restrictions with either a cold or hot breakfast available. I went for the full English and it was of good portion sizes, well cooked and tasty. Recommended and I would have no hesitation staying here again the next time I visit Blackpool
