Fantastic HolidayJust came back from Captains Hotel in Zakynthos. Absolutely lovely place. Lots of Polish people, ok, but quite rude. Food geared towards the Polish but always something good to eat at every meal. After breakfast, at 10am you could have snacks (burgers, chips, toasties, omelettes etc) so no real excuses for not liking the food on offer. Onto the staff - Tamara at reception was unbelievably good. So nice and friendly and couldnt do enough for you! Efcharistó Tamara! Michal the waiter is a fabulous kid, so polite and always helpful. Thank you Michal! Andreas, Remos Vasili were so nice, always pleasant and happy to talk and help whenever they could. To be honest they are some of the nicest staff Ive ever met while abroad!! The view from the hotel was something else. Great while eating to look out at the Ionion sea! I am definitely going back as the location in Argassi was great. I highly recommend going to shipwreck beach. Out of this world! Google it! Tamara even sorted us a packed lunch to take. How good is that?!! All in all - brilliant. See you next year guys!!! X

Budget hotelHoliday company put us up this hotel for the night when flight back to uk was cancelled. The hotel was at the top of a hill and appeared some distance from the resort centre. Arrived quite late at night but first impressions were not good. Shown to our room -had to go outside & then down 3 flights of stairs in the dark with 2 heavy suitcases no assistance offered with luggage. Room was basic with grubby towels and soft furnishings. No bottled water in room ( not acceptable!) and only 2 small bars of soap . No shower gel/ shampoo/ toothpaste.Had to go to the bar to buy water. Had a drink whilst there which was cheap but poor quality. Breakfast was not good - toast & beans was the best & safest option. The best feature of this hotel is the view over Argassi I would not recommend this hotel

Captains hotel. GreatMy husband and I stayed here 16-20th September 2019. Loved it. Tamara was the best as were all her staff. Sleep quality was 100/100. Kindness and friendship was 100/100. Everyone was great. We watched some Greek dancing. The food was lovely. Cannot fault this hotel at all. This picture is of the crazy golf where you could play in the dark, all illuminated though and could buy a beer at their bar.

Disaster! The worst experience I have ever had! Sub-Zero management, housekeeping is barely shown. They pretend caring about social distance regarding Corona pandemic and in the meantime they act blind when there are unlimited queues for buffet with no distance between guests! @Tripadvisor Is there anything below terrible to give?

Horrblible organization, no safety standards during covidThe management of the hotel is horrible, the queues to the meals are enormous, everyone squeezed together during pandemic, waiting for one hour to eat lunch or any other meal. 30 people waiting in the queue to the bar in the evening. Same queue take even just a glass of water. Bottled water is not available. It's impossible to use the all inclusive offer, as waiting in the queues is just a waste of time and nerves. In the same time the staff is working so hard in the masks in this heat to handle this amount of guests, that the hotel is obviously not prepared for. Two other hotels of the chain don't open their restaurant, so all their guests have to come here to eat and drink. The manager is obviously not interested at all about what is happening in the hotel. The staff does their best but the system and management is simply a disaster. Rooms are cleaned only once in three days. While all the other hotels do their best to not let guests wait for anything in the queue, it seems this hotel does their best to increase them.
