  Interesting tours, great value

  Ive been to a lot (a LOT) of dull caves and cave tours in my time but this one was interesting and fun. We did the mid priced Capricorn Explorer tour that runs for 1.5hrs and has some clambering but is not overly exerting. Everyone is allocated a helmet and head torch and shown how to use it before you head towards the caves fo learn more about them and see some interesting sights. This is an above ground dry cave system so you wont need to worry about getting muddy or wet. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the cave system, how it was formed, its recent history and the local flora and fauna. The time flew and before you knew it, we were heading back down to the cafe for a well deserved drink. Good facilities, no mobile coverage.

  Great place for over night stop

  Great place to stop for a night, comfortable cabin with everything you need, little bit older but clean and comfortable. Cabins are private and wildlife was abundant. We did Mt Etna hike in the early morning, awesome hike about 10 min drive from cabins, highly recommended. Dont go past this as an option to stay the night. The local pub has great meals and is in easy drive from the cabins. Free breakfast of package food was included, could have been healthier options but was a nice treat.

  Great to stay if you want to see the Caves

  We spent 2 nights at The Capricorn Caves Accomodation. There was not a lot of campers, so we had a pick of the sites. Clean ammenities. Was very quiet. Great place to stay if you want to do the cave tours. Sadly due to COVID there is a limit to the tours, which is a shame as we missed out on the other tours. We got to experience the Cathedral tour.

  Lovely quiet sites and great tour

  We stayed two nights on a powered site which was lovely and quiet. Very clean amenities and loved being able to have a fire. We did the Explorer tour with Katie who was extremely knowledgeable and passionate. Our kids loved it also. Would recommend a few nights here for sure!

  Great place to stop dont miss

  We were travelling down the coast and needed overnight accom around Rocky. Because we had a trailer we didnt want a motel in town so after some research I found The Caves just 20mins north of Rocky. We were so glad we stayed and had the best time! We arrived early enough to cool off with a swim in the pool whilst admiring the surrounding bush land. We settled into our comfortable and clean studio cabin before heading down the road to the Caves Country Pub. Throughly enjoyed meeting the locals in this 130 year old pub built by the Olsens who discovered the area and with cold bevies and a yummy dinner. Back down the road we had a comfortable sleep in our private cabin in the bush with all amenities including king bed, ensuite, aircon and tv. The next day before we hit the road we decided to fit in the on-site Cathedral Caves tour at 9am. So glad we did it was fantastic!!!! One of the best things Ive ever done. Our guide Phil was so good and its so interesting and different. Dont miss this place so much better than the motels in Rocky!
