  This place so near to the beach. Our rooms was clean.staff very welcomed and helping.The fresh air at Lumut Resort.the staff change our room to a better one, after we made a complaint about the roof leakage.

  Horrible, dirty hotel with incompetent staff and lying management

  This is the worst place I have ever had the misfortune of coming across during my six years of living in Malaysia. Hell, even the kampung would probably have a better hotel than this souless, money grubbing liars posing as staff and management. My father and I came across this hotel when were in Lumut after a busy day visiting open houses and facing bad traffic all over Perak (this was during the recent Hari Raya holiday). I researched this hotel a bit in the car on the way over and liked the way the pictures looked so when we walked in to the lobby, a young Malay woman proceeded to ask us which rooms we wanted. I told her that I wanted the family room which she stated came with a queen size bed and a single size bed in the living room. When she asked me to make full payment right there and then without even showing us the room, I stupidly agreed because my father and I were really tired from the drive and just wanted to rest. That should have been a huge sign to me of how this place will con you out of your money as the front desk was manned by very incompetent girls who didn't speak English very well and didn't seem to know what they were doing. We were not even ushered to the room, just told offhandedly where it was located and left to our own devices. When we opened the door to our unit, we were shocked to find that there was only one queen sized bed and the place was very dusty, seemed as though it wasn't aired or clean in a long time, and the so called 'door' diving the room and the living room was only a tinted glass sliding door. Oh, and they ask you to leave RM50 as deposit for their Astro remote and aircon remote control. I was frustrated and angered at the fact that we were mislead by the girl at the front desk. I was shown a few other options but each unit was worse than the last...just imagine an insane asylum built in the 70s with poor ventilation and terrible sanitation. Just a nightmare all around. Finally, we decided to leave the place as we were very uncomfortable with the ambience and the attitude of the staff. I asked for a refund since we were mislead by their pictures, their staff and the room itself. Simon, the manager, was not at the hotel and when I politely asked for a full refund, he implied that it was partially my fault for not checking the rooms earlier when his staff should have shown us the room before I paid or shouldn't have even asked for payment until I was satisfied. He only relented to pay me 50% of my initial payment and proceeded to tell me that he will speak to the owners to see if I can get the rest of the payment the following Monday. Well, it's been two weeks since and he has never contacted me again. Thanks again for the countless excuses, Simon. Don't be fooled by the pictures on the website and don't waste your money here. There's a reason why the front desk was so desperate for our money, no one in their right minds except for poor construction workers and maids would actually stay here. And I'm still waiting for the rest of my initial payment since we did not even get to enjoy one minute of our stay here!

  Nice place

  The place is nice but some area near the hall and in ghe hall does not have network coverage. Place is a good place to get away from the hustle bustle of city life The swimming pool is nice If you need to use the internet or call out the best place will be the reception area or the room balcony

  Don't waste your money

  Worst hotel: 1. smelly room & old furniture (bed & sofa) 2. check out, need to return remote aircond/TV & towels 3. pool shared with other hotels ie. Teluk Batik Apprt & Virgo Batik 4. to enter pool, need to provide coupon (1 entry per day only) 5. free breakfast so lousy ie. only nasi lemak & bread 6. beach is public beach, need to cross road to beach 7. toilet & room are dirty 8. no shop around, need to travel out 9. no indoor telco coverage except Digi Don't waste your money, it's not hotel standard..

  Salam sejahtera and greetings Sir or Madam, Thank you again for your service. I can't deny that this place grew my confidence to be a responsible person for my future professionals. It was in the year of 2006. Organised by the high schools in Perak. Joining together to build up our confidence and knowledge. It was a great moment staying there. Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
