holidayThe lake view suites or rooms are not as shown .Bathroom is nice however the room is very dark and old furniture .There was nothing on balcony .We had to ask for chairs to be brought up.Not 5 star .No help with luggage and they leave the doors open when cleaning .Our room was full of bugs and flies .The rest of stay and inclusions and restaurant is nice .I think the pics they show you with nice modern light furniture is of the garden suites or maybe some simply havent been re vamped.Do not pay the full price but get a deal and is ok .

Best dinner in Margaret river region!!Each dish was exquisitely constructed into art rather than food, genuine care and great skill taken in preparing each element. The staff were wonderful and so knowledgeable on the wines and paired them perfectly to our dishes. We had a beautiful evening overlooking the water and were completely satisfied at the end of our night. We recommend the five course tasting menu!

Short breakStayed here for a few days in Early December 2020. Weather was nice, not too hot considering the time of year. I was amazed how close this place is to many of the local wineries. Cape Lodge also produce a limited amount of their own fine wines, bye a bottle or two if you can. The lodge is very nicely laid out with a quiet ambiance and parking is close to rooms. The reception and staff were friendly yet unimposing and nearby if you needed something. My room was an upstairs deluxe garden view room. Nicely arranged with high ceilings and large bathroom. The French doors open onto a balcony with small table and 2 chairs which provided a pleasant outlook to the gardens. There was tea/coffee facilities, a stocked bar fridge and a selection if nibbles included in the room price. Breakfast and dinner were served at the adjacent Cape Lodge restaurant. The food and wine pairing was superb and the service exceptional. I will be staying here again when the opportunity permits, a bit longer next time though.

Ahhh the Serenity! We had a wonderful stay here for three nights in a Lakeside room. The property is very private and extremely serene. We did the afternoon vineyard tour with Rachel and it was fantastic. Just the right length, the wines were lovely, and Rachel was an absolute delight. Each night we had pre-dinner drinks in the lounge between 5-6pm. The hospitality of Francois was spot on and the atmosphere was friendly and comfortable. A highlight of each day. We also had the 5 course dinner with matched wines, which we enjoyed and a Saturday Wine Lunch which was hosted by the lovely Rachel, and was thoroughly enjoyable also. Breakfast service was lovely, and Neil always professional and attentive. The proximity to good local wineries is excellent and the property really felt like a wonderful oasis to retreat to after a day of touring. The room was comfortable and well appointed, however I did expect it to be a little more plush. I think I would have been just as happy in a lower-priced option. We did think the lack of food options was disappointing, particularly considering there are no kitchen facilities in the room. Some lighter food options available on site including perhaps some platters/small plates in the lounge during the early evening (considering the kitchen is open then anyway) would have been very welcome. As there is nowhere close by open for dinner the only option is a three or five course meal $95pp-$145pp in the property's restaurant. After a couple of days of rich food, we just wanted a simple, light meal or salad for dinner and there just wasn't any other option available to us. All in all, this property is wonderful, the staff are all incredibly friendly and professional, and we loved our time there.
