  Great if travelling with a pet

  I stayed at the Candlewood suites Greenville two Fridays ago for one night due to a power outage at my house. It was a last-minute thing, and my main concern was finding a pet friendly place so I could bring my dog. I was happy with the stay overall. For those travelling with a dog, it doesn't get much easier than this. Just fill out a form and pay the reasonable pet fee. Service from the front desk agent Melissa was great. I had stayed here several years ago when it was first opened, and the rooms have aged well. Everything was clean and comfortable. My one suggestion was regarding sanitization given the current state of affairs. Guests want to be confident knowing essential touch points have been thoroughly cleaned. I saw no literature or any other assurance that things like remote controls had been sanitized. I would recommend placing the remote, and possibly towels and pillows in a plastic bag with a note indicating they've been handled with care and are germ free. Either that or a sticker or note indicating as such. I would have liked to see that and I'm not a germaphobe. I shared that feedback with the property via a survey, as I realize these are uncharted waters we're in. Overall I recommend this place and will book again when needed without hesitation.

  Our favorite hotel in Greenville

  We love this hotel and stay here everytime we're in Greenville. This is our preferred hotel and have stayed here about five times. The staff is absolutely the best. Barry greeted us by name and took great care of us. The hotel is very clean and our daughter noticed that they had painted it since the last time we were here. Our stay could not have been better!

  Perfect location, perfect accommodations, perfect customer service!

  Pet friendly, safe parking, near EVERYTHING in Greenville. To be right off a busy road, you would never guess it when it came to bedtime. This hotel staff has thought of everything you might need for a night or extended stay. Barry could not have been more accommodating and friendly upon check in. While the hotel welcomes pets, never once did I hear a bark or see a track of dog hair. Will definitely stay at Candlewood again when I come to Greenville.

  Great hotel!

  This place was absolutely fantastic!! It was a home away from home and I didn't want to leave! We stayed here for my yearly family reunion and have never stayed at one of these before they're defiantly worth the price and very nice. Will be using them again next year maybe even for two days instead of one!! Very relaxing weekend. Staff was very friendly and super helpful when we asked if they knew of any close places to eat too.

  Decent stay minus being double charged

  This hotel was fairly clean, although the main area floors needed a good vacuum. Rooms were clean enough but could have been cleaner, especially during the pandemic we are still battling. Staff were wearing masks which made me feel better and I do not remember encountering any other guests whom werent wearing masks, so that was nice, as most hotels Ive visited down south, do not enforce masks which really ticks me off! The DVD player in our room was not working which was a bummer since they do provide free DVD rentals at the front desk. They also did not offer any type of breakfast service even though I was told that they offer a to go breakfast bag due to COVID; there was no breakfast food to be found. This location is also located directly across the street from a loading warehouse so it is quite noisy, especially if your room is on the front side of the hotel. I had asked to be placed away from the elevator, in a quiet area of the hotel due to traveling with young children whom are light sleepers, and I was placed in the first room off of the elevator, in the front of the hotel, directly across from where trucks at the warehouse were loading up and directly above the main entrance. Staff were friendly and accommodating. I was also charged twice for a one night stay. This is extremely concerning and I am in the process of contacting the hotel to have this fixed ASAP. I definitely recommend requesting a room on the back side of the hotel and away from the elevators if you would like a good, quiet nights sleep and also remember to check your bank/credit card statement to make sure you werent double charged!
