  Unplugged my rental car twice

  We stayed at Candlewood Suites for 3 nights. They're located next to Creamer's Field & a well known fastfood place. Across the street is a big store that has just about everything. It's easy to find Candlewood from the airport. It has some spots where a vehicle can be plugged in for free during below zero temperatures. Unfortunately, we were surprised to find our car unplugged TWICE in freezing temperatures which could dip below zero anytime, so that's 1 star off. They have a small store near the front desk where one can purchase food, bottled water & toiletries. The room is quite large. Ours had 2 queens in it. It also had a microwave, stove, full sized ref & basic kitchen utensils. The disadvantage is there's no daily maid service. Maid service is weekly & dirty towels can be exchanged for clean ones at the 24-hour front desk anytime. Employees were courteous & helpful. They also have a laundry facility where guests can do their laundry for free. This is a plus for people who want to stay for longer periods. The gym is also availble 24/7. They have no pool & no breakfast. If staying for longer periods, one can get hefty discounts on room price. I'd stay here again when it's warmer. I recommend this place especially when it's not freezing outside & you need to have your vehicle plugged in.

  Clean, Quiet, No Breakfast

  I stay here every time I am in Fairbanks, I travel here a lot for work. I think the staff is very friendly and inviting. They don't have vending machines but they do have a marketplace to purchase stuff plus there are plenty of stores around if they don't have what you are looking for. The rooms have always been clean, I really like that all rooms have a fridge that makes ice, so I don't have to leave my room and look for an ice machine. They don't have the little bottles of shampoo and stuff but they have the big refillable bottles already in the shower, it's better because it saves plastic. I don't need the free breakfast so I am glad they don't have it. On this trip it was -30 and I didn't have a problem with my car being unplugged, even if my car was unplugged by another guest I wouldn't blame the hotel

  Great stay and perfect location!

  We had a wonderful 4 nights at Candlewood Suites. Check in/Check out was easy and staff friendly. The airport shuttle was out of service when we arrived, but utilized it on the way back...very convenient. The room was quiet and bed super comfortable. We didn't have a car, but it was within walking distance to Walmart/FM/Safeway. I would definitely stay here again.

  Home in Alaska--Candlewood Suites

  Our room was clean--the front desk staff was friendly and helpful--and knowledgeable about the area. They answered all our question about the best place to eat --where the locals eat, shop, etc... The hotel was located near Wal Mart and authentic souvenir shops

  Perfect for winter!

  We were very pleased with the facilities! Small kitchenette which we used to cook fresh fish. They have free laundry. All you need is detergent and softener. Its nice to keep your clothes clean. They have several washers and dryers. Parking is great. Staff is very helpful. Quiet for sleep. Clean. Enjoyed the free breakfasts! Located close to WalMart.
