  Nice hotel for the price

  This is a nice, clean hotel - easy to find off the interstate. Rooms are large and I appreciate the small area off the parking lot in the back to let dogs do their business (I was traveling with my dog and appreciate Candlewood having an accommodating pet policy).

  Nice but some attention needed

  Was a guest with a friend in mid-September. Delighted to have the opportunity to visit the Badlands area. The hotel interior was way above-average; however, when we decided to use the bbq grills on the patio, it was a totally different experience. One bbq was out of f service, the other took 15 minutes to reach just 300 degrees. The ceiling fan in the gazebo had no blades, the stone floor needed a good squirting, a waste can near the area would have been nice, a fly strip would also have improved the experience and could have easily been located inconspicuously.

  Covid- 19 a hoax

  My husband and I booked for 4 night s at the Candlewood Suites because my father contracted Covid-19. When we came to check in the General Manager was at the desk with no mask on...she asked us if we wanted her to put it on..we said yes. She proceeded to tell us the virus was a hoax..A HOAX while my father was fighting for his life. I said there are a lot of people sick and dying look at the count on CNN. She said all the news channels were lying except Fox so she only allows Fox news. We went to the hospital and was going to get another room but we had limited money. When we came back late that night they lady working was wearing a mask and cleaning everything. I asked her to put it on CNN while my husband was unloading. She told me she couldn't that only Fox was allowed. She asked if we were traveling through and I told her why we were here. She told me she lost her mother a month prior to Covid. I asked her about her boss and her spewing that the virus was a hoax. She put her head down in shame and didn't make a comment. I figured she was worried about her job if she said anything. She made us understand that the place was clean and that she would make sure our stay was comfortable. She took absolute care of us during our stay. SHE IS THE ONLY REASON WE STAYED. After our 4 days we went to the Hawthorn Suites until my father passed. That GM should be fired and the other lady given a raise!!!!!!

  Shannon at the front desk was extremely helpful in situating me into the room I wanted. Appreciate the cupboard room options and prices. Would recomend to anyone traveling in the Dickenson area. Will use it again in my travel plans

  unexpected stay in the hotel

  Love the hotel. Quiet and easy access to get in and out. Laundry room was great with the weight room. the outside BBQ area. The kitchen area for cooking was great for te use you want to cook thier owns meals.
