  Will not return.

  I handed the gentleman at check-in my id and credit card that I was using to pay for the stay. He did not use the card that I handed to him but instead charged the card used on booking.com. Thankfully I had enough funds in my account to cover my stay. He was not very personable and maybe spoke 10 words to me in total. I was on the 3rd floor and the walls and floors seemed paper thin. There were children running back and forth on the floor above me until around 1:00 AM. Around 2:00 AM a couple was bickering next door. Then around 4:00 AM, a man was shouting loudly in the hallway. I did not have a good nights sleep. The next morning, the aroma of fried fish and maryjane filled the 3rd floor hallway. Id placed my do not disturb magnet on the hallway side of the door the night before and a staff member began banging on my door before 10:00 AM TWICE, even though checkout was at 11:00. Also, once I got home that afternoon, I got very itchy and noticed bites everywhere that my skin was exposed during my sleep that night. I now have about 10 BED BUG BITES ALL OVER MY BODY! I dont have sensitive skin and the bites werent there prior to my stay. I rarely leave negative reviews and I always thoroughly research hotels and read reviews before I book and stay somewhere. This place is modern in looks and some amenities, yes, but I had a truly miserable overall experience staying at Candlewood Suites - Bensalem and would not recommend it.

  HORRIBLE/ LOOKS CAN BE DECEIVING!!!!

  This hotel was the most horrible hotel I stayed at. I found 2 bed bugs on my bed and I went to the front desk to make them aware of it and took a video of it and put them in a napkin and brought it down to them. I tried to change my room they were completely sold out. They offered to give me my money back after they have someone check the room out the next day. So they told me if they dont find any I cant get my money back. They looked at me like I brought them in. No honey I keep a clean home. And the manager was supposed to call me and she never did. And on top of it all the young man last night that was trying to handle the situation wasnt at the front desk so we had to wait 15 to 20 before he even came to the front desk. My husband had to bang on the laundry room door for him to finally come to the desk. Also there was kids running around knocking on people doors and running away. Made them aware of that and they did nothing either. Then I got woken up to housekeeping knocking on my door at 9:15am check out aint even till 11am. I was still sleeping. I will never stay here again. I will recommend nobody stay here. I will be calling corporate also. I still have yet to get a call back.

  Not the Birthday celebration I expected

  So, there was too much going on that was totally unexpected. To simplify it, here it goes: 1. Was met with a note on the refrigerator door informing us that there was a cost for taking items from the room, as if every guest steals from hotel rooms. 2. AS an IHG member since 2013, I was required to take out my own trash instead of having hotel staff pick it up from outside the room which is the norm. 3. Was required to take my soiled towels to housekeeping to get additional clean towels instead of having them brought to me. 4. Dirty frying pan in the drawer, took it to guest services who gave me a brans new steel frying pan that had yet to be treated so the black carbon residue was still coming off the pan, which meant I could not cook in it! 5. Impossible to accurately adjust the temperature in the suite, so we were either roasting or cold. I've been staying with this brand for many years and this is the first I've experienced this behavior. I know everyone is afraid of COVID but you cannot expect guest and IHG members to act as hotel staff!

  Not what I booked!!!

  Booked online (a week in advance) a double bedroom (points) for the 24th, 25th and 26th (Credit Card) of Dec and when I got to the hotel I was told they didn't have any double bdrm left????. Hotel agent apologized and said they would hold a dbl bdrm the next day, never received the dbl bdrm on the 25th or 26th. Want to know why I didn't receive the room type I requested online. I have stayed hear numerous times and this never happen.

  Scammers! Stay Away

  WARNING! They will try and scam you. The GM hit me with a bogus smoking charge when I don't even smoke. She then proceeds to dodge my call for almost a week and when I get in touch with her, she tells me there's nothing she can do. Save the headache and stay away.
