Large Rooms Here!Pros: 1. I love hotel suites with separate bedroom/living room combinations. This hotel has that and the rooms were comfortable and clean. 2. The hotel is located off College Drive and near Corporate Blvd. ... one of the best areas to stay in Baton Rouge with lots of surrounding businesses nearby. 3. The hotel receptionist was very nice and professional, and even gave me a room upgrade due to the low occupancy when I stayed there. That's what customer service is all about!!! 4. I liked how the shower had the shower gel and shampoo dispenser installed in the shower for you. 5. The A/C works perfectly in the rooms. Cons: 1. There is no breakfast available in this hotel, but there is an onsite snack pantry with items for purchase at the receptionist desk. 2. When check in, I felt pressured by the hotel receptionist to enter the hotel's rewards program ... a simple "No, but thank you" should have ended that conversation, but the receptionist continued on about it and it actually annoyed me very much. When someone says No, it's because they don't want it and couldn't care less about the reward benefits.

Suite was fine except for freezerI stayed in Suite 302. The freezer was bare. No ice cubes present. There was no control I could find in either compartment to activate the ice machine! I notified the Front Desk person, who said shed have maintenance come up and assess/fix the problem. There is no evidence that anyone was ever sent, and this was a THREE night stay! I brought up ice cubes the first night from the only ice machine on the premises, located on the 1st floor. Unfortunately, as I discovered hours later, the cubes were frozen solid together. I had no means of adjusting the temperature of the freezer. The remainder of the facilities and my suite were satisfactory.

Where to start! Rom 116Would have loved to have given more stars but on check in on 9th May at 3.00pm the member of staff on the front desk, sadly she didnt have a name badge otherwise I would name and shame...she shouldnt have been on the desk so RUDE. She needs to remember guests pay her wages...she needs a lesson in customer service! We asked where our room was located she said on 1st floor we asked if we could be moved to the top floor. No. She said we hadnt requested this when making our booking. I said I appreciate that but we are asking to be moved. No..she emphatically said its the Prom season...so what? She again quite emphatically said we are expecting a coach with kids in for their prom party. We said surely you have a room you can swap as we like it to be quiet when sleeping oh youll sleep fine as its adults only usually at the hotel...so what was it loads of kids staying or adults? Did she actually know?. At no time until we went out five hours later did any coach materialise! She wasnt being helpful in fact wished we had asked her name. Back out to the car to get cases on the luggage cart...and we had noticed a grey car had parked right in the no parking area where the ramp goes down into the car park and because of this couldnt get the cart down from the pavement, also it was restricting both the adjacent disabled bays. So this was mentioned when we went back into the lobby...She said oh we will get it moved...well would like to know how she knew whose car it was as she didnt take our vehicle registration details at check in. Can you believe that 4 hours later it was still parked there and clearly had inhibited the disabled parking spaces. Our room...was a disabled room. WE WOULD NOT HAVE BOOKED this room so why were we allocated this room? There was no way the hotel was full when we went out for dinner 5 hours later there were only 25 cars in the car park and when we returned 34 including ours. This was the same on the two days we stayed. We could clearly see the car park and it was less than 50% full. So cant believe the hotel was full. The room...dishwasher leaked and that was with not being used and cracked mirror in two places in the shower room. The extraction fan did not work at all. The door and door frame dirty with marks and sticky. We had spoken to Joette the general manager to exchange our towels. Very nice lady and she helped with a little information. That front desk staff member needs to take a lesson or two from Joette. On checking out this morning the same grey car was back parking illegally again. The only positive is the washing machines and dryer for guests are free to use. You decide if you stay here!

Over night visitPros: Lobby looked good, rooms have been updated, price was competitive with other area hotels. Cons: Out of towels, no blankets, previous occupant s hair in the tub. Hallways appear old and dated. Not sure we will stay here again.

Business TripComfortable rooms and very good service at front desk. Easy parking and affordably priced. Short drive to downtown Baton Rouge and to LSU. Met expectations from a medium-priced brand and would recommend for business travel.
