Fantastic Hotel - one of the best

We stayed last minute at this hotel and what a gem. The owner and his family really make the hotel, they really do go that extra mile to ensure you have a great stay. They are very friendly and went out of their way to help us with everything we needed. The location is good being a 10 minute walk down to the port which means it is easy to get the ferry into Casamicciola. There is the bus if you did not want to walk (Slight bank). The pool was fantastic in a very pretty area surrounded by lemon trees and with ample sun beds etc. The room was large and clean with a small balcony as well. Wifi in the central area of hotel. We have stayed in many five star hotels around the world and whilst this isn't five star, it is one we will always remember because of the great family hospitality. It's the type of place people return year after year. Would definitely recommend.

A great family run business, they really want you to enjoy your stay..

My room was large, bright and breezy, with views of lemon filled trees on the terrace below. All utterly clean and comfortable. Hotel Candia is a family run business and they take your happiness very seriously. They can arrange treks and pretty much anything you feel like doing and they're totally connected on the island, so can make anything happen, with fantastic insider knowledge. Their swimming pool and rooftop terrace is a lovely place to hang out, or do Tai Chi or similar. So gorgeous as the sun rises or falls! Its in a central location, but just 5 minutes off the busy beaten track. And its utterly well priced. We ate 3 meals in (or they gave us packed lunches for days out..) The food was yummy and used all fresh, local ingredients. Can't stress enough that other than being affordable and very pleasant, the thing that makes this hotel special, is how the family welcome you and bend over backwards to please you. I'm writing this review because they are a lovely, lovely family who deserve the world's support!

Brilliant fun at lovely family run hotel

Amazing family run hotel. Small but significant. The family were simply lovely. They bent over backwards to make our stay so enjoyable - free fruit and drinks, bruschetta made with home grown tomatoes, as well as home grown olives and lemons on tap, sandwiches and lift to ferry when we left, amazing home cooked food. Just a lovely easy friendly stay. We even have plants from owner Guiseppie to take back to our own garden in Scotland. Nothing was too much trouble, the kids loved the pool (which we had to ourselves the majority of the 5 day stay). Absolutely lovely. Would thoroughly recommend. Only down side is its a little far out of the town (which isn't exactly wild either) so 10 min walk down steep hill to town but very steep uphill in heat to get back. If it's quiet you want this is it. They will look after you as much or as little as you want in this quiet but idyllic spot.

    Lovely hotel, caring family owners

The family room was clean nicely decorated with a small balcony. The breakfasts were very nice continental style. The upper terrace and pool was fantastic. The owner and family members were totally focused on the guests, breaking in to German, French and English, they were always keen to talk and help plan your trips. Good wifi in the bar area. I would definitely return.

This a a family run hotel. The owner and his son are very kind and accommodating. We didnt have a chance to have breakfast but the owner offered some treats to go which was very much appreciate since it was very early and we were traveling with small children. He and his son went out our way to make our help us during our day. I would recommend!! Than you!
