  Hotel of choice

  Love this location for its proximity to premier shopping and dining experiences, while still being remote enough from those locations that traffic is not a problem. Rooms are always neat and clean. Love my Altos breakfast!

  Great experience! Terrific staff!

  My sister, niece and I stayed overnight recently at this hotel, just for a girls overnight time together. We relaxed, played games in our room, watched TV, swam in the pool, enjoyed the hot tub, and ate supper in Aaltos restaurant and lunch the next day in the attached Tavern United restaurant. We had terrific service in Tavern from Jamie, our friendly and helpful waitress and very efficient service from Aaltos serving staff, and hostess. Food was delicious with lots of options at the buffet. We saw that the cleaning staff worked diligently in the hallways. Our hotel room was clean, and beds were comfy with nice pillows. Two areas though, are suggested for improvement; the cable TV kept losing its signal numerous times and we had to shut it off each time and then restart it and find our original channel just as we were watching an exciting WPG Jets close game. This was very frustrating. We didnt call for help as we were only there one night, and felt we could manage the annoying power re-starts. Secondly, we waited abt 10 min to check out which was far too long. Only one front desk staff was on duty and only one couple was in front of us checking out, but there seemed to be a problem with their bill or payment process or ?? so she was tied up for a long time. The manager (we assumed) walked out from the back office to the front desk to pick up a paper but retreated back to his office. We thought he was coming out to serve us. No he wasnt. This well run and established hotel can & should do better in both these areas. Otherwise, the accommodations and service were very good!

  Rooms need updating

  Stayed at this hotel for a conference from Jan22-24,2020. Conference areas are decent, foods always very good. Rooms are extremely small and tired. Mine overlooked the pool which I assumed caused the damp/musty smell. Kept the curtains closed full time to ensure privacy. Dents in the walls, trim peeling off, bathroom door knob was very loose. No bathroom vent fan. Cleanliness level was acceptable but its just time for a refurb. Sound from the hallway makes it sound as if your doors open. Theres an inch gap between the bottom of the door and the floor. I would jam a towel into it at night trying to block some of the noise. Staff is always friendly, particularly the cleaning staff. I wish Id gotten the name of a women who was mopping each floor in front of the elevators during my stay. She was incredibly genuine and kind. My conference meets every 18 months and always stays here however if no updates take place before the next one my group and I will plan to book at another nearby location.

  Racist Front Desk Clerk

  I was trying to book a room in the hotel 12 am in the evening as I had to catch a flight to Vancouver in the am. I would need a room for 5 hours to rest as I had travelled a long distance already. I was refused a room as there were none available the clerk said. When i finally found one room he charged me 220.00 for 5 hours and he was adamant about me having a credit card in good order and cash as a room deposit. He was absolutely the rudest clerk i have ever experienced in my life. I have stayed here many times on business, but this man was not willing to help me in the slightest. His attitude was awful, he should never work in public service.

  Great location amazing staff

  I had been staying at a different property,and had to extend my stay.My room was reserved,and they were unable to accommodate us. I needed to be located in a central area,and I found Canad Inn's,Destination Polo Park.I was located less than a ten minute drive to anywhere I needed,or wanted to go. From the Airport to downtown,ten minutes or less.There's the largest shopping center in Manitoba 3 minutes away.It was during the Covid 19 code red. First thing that I noticed was that each room was cleaned,and marked Covid clean and sanitized!It was extra clean!!All surfaces,from lamps,telephones,nightstands, tables,remotes were noticeably disinfected and clean. The hotel has a waterslide,hot tub,excercise room and a convenience store.There's a large tavern with an outdoor patio, and food service.There's also a large dining room with a daily buffet. Carved beef,chicken,salads,soup and some impressive looking desserts,don't forget the ice cream. The staff were very friendly,and very willing to please.The linens and towels are a crisp bright white,and the bed was extremely comfortable with a clean white duvet. My room was extremely large,boasting a double fireplace,two televisions,and a wonderful jetted tub.Crisp white robes,fridge,coffee maker and microwave. A large work desk,sitting area,couch,comfortable chairslarge windows filled the room with sunlight. Need to charge something?There's no less than 12 USB ports throughout the room.The bathroom has a double sink,so it is very convenient for 2 people to get ready at the same time! There's a laundry room,vending machine's and several ice machines.The staff were so professional helpful and extremely nice! I was always greeted with a big smile.I am still trying to figure out how each and everyone of them new me by name.It felt as though you were speaking with old friends or family. That warm,comfortable feeling,made me feel like I was at home,and not in a random hotel.The security and safety features made us feel very safe.There's tons of parking,an off sales beer store and a huge modern VLT lounge on the property.DO NOT pass up the Garbonzo's pizza restaurant!!Absolutely one of the BEST PIZZAS in town! I was treated so well,I ended up staying over 3 week's!Great workspace,great fun place!Work hard in the day,play hard at night. There's also the coolest brand new,arcade,bowling alley 1 minute walk from the front entrance!Did I mention that the hotel was a bargain? Check in for a day,stay for awhile.I only wish I had children to enjoy all of the fun,cool things to do.I felt like a big kid.We are talking "adult"kool!There are many other destination Canad inn's in the city and province.They are located adjacent to the two Casinos,and in many other parts of the city.Destination Polo Park is my favorite!Everything within a few minutes drive.Restaraunts,movie theater,arcade,bowling,shopping,grocery,Costco!You want it,you got it!Airport shuttle service.I can't wait to come back.Thanks to the staff and management for making my stay,so memorable and perfect.It's certainly a team effort. speaking with old friends.
