  Needs a Makeover

  We visited here in mid April which to be honest is a bit too early in the year, at the reception we where greeted by a very friendly lady who was extreemly helpful and gave us all the information we could need, also a key to enable the use of the bungalow heating which was welcome, it had been raining so the approach to the bungalow was quite muddy and and there is no parking next to it and we had to carry our luggage through the muddy area, to save a lot of mess inside I carried to the door whilst my wife moved it inside, the bungalow was reasonably large for the two of us but the one we had was set up for up to seven people (that would certainly be cosy). As the title states this site is in need of a makeover, it looks like some of the bungalows have been replaced recently we had one of the older ones which was clean but getting a bit tired. The restaurant, we only had one meal which was a mixed fish grill, unfortunately some of the fish, prawns and mussels where still raw and inedible, hence the one visit. Beautiful area backing on to the lake, due to our early visit the site still needed lots of work doing, cleaning, weeding and grass cutting mainly, some caravans where parked on the site close to the lake and the grass was knee high.

  Was due to stay for two weeks but ending up staying five weeks

  This is a lovely campsite on the shores of Lake Trasimeno. We had orginally booked in for two weeks but it was so lovely we stayed for five weeks on a pitch by the Lake. Every evening was so special watching the sun set over the lake. The campsite is having a lot of money spent on it. When we arrived we had to use the orginal toilet block amongst the resident caravans. It wasnt too far to walk and had only recently been updated. During our stay a new toilet block was opened on the camping side. The facilities were excellent with plently of hot water for showers and washing. The second swimming pool was also being updated with an lovely area for children. Whilst the work was being carried out there was minimum disruption to people staying on site. We could still use the other swimming pool by the restuarant, but we tended to swim in the lake as the water was so warm. All the staff were very friendly and the locals were charming. A wonderful peaceful site in a beautiful area.

  Holidays at Camping & Village Polvese, 06060 Sant'Arcangelo, Magione, PG, Italia

  Last summer 2019 we have spent our summer holidays at Camping & Village Polvese for the 6th time in a row. It is a wonderful place in a beautiful area with many worth seeing cities / places at short distance. The location of the campsite - right on the shores of Lake Trasimeno is unique and beautiful. Fantastic views and incredibly beautiful sunsets, which are different every day. One evening even more spectacular than the other. We camp with the caravan and the camping pitches are beautiful, clean and very spacious and most with lots of shade. Entertainment for children is every day/evening but at such a location on the site that you will not experience any noise nuisance. A generous sized swimming pool makes it all complete! Last but not least: the team at the campsite are very lovely and hospitable people, making you really feel at home! Highly recommended camping!!

  A great place to stay

  A place with which you fall in love with from the very first day. Beautiful surroundings in a protected area, where nature unfolds wonderfully. Very pleasent camping, quiet and spacious, plenty of shade. The large pool is excellent and the childrens is very popular. The facilities are fine with a restaurant,bar,shop and bungalows. Is excellent for excursions to Firenze,Rome,Asissi,Siena, Perugia. You are in the middle of many beautiful places. We have been visiting here for 18 years and we have always recieved a friendly welcome and stay.

  Camping & bungalows con aspectos a mejorar.

  Se trata de un camping "de los de toda la vida". De hecho, da la impresión que muchos campistas lo tienen como lugar de vacaciones habitual. Cuenta con bastantes bungalows, aunque, a pesar de que inicialmente tienen una muy buena apariencia, quizá deberían mejorar un poco el mantenimiento. Encuentras elementos a mejorar o ya un poco desgastados. También hubiésemos agradecido que las verbenas nocturnas hubiesen terminado algo más pronto, ya que resultaban algo escandalosas, a pesar de que el personal de animación era muy amable (también el de recepción). La zona de la piscina es muy agradable, los niños disfrutan realmente.
