Lovely campsiteWe were a little nervous about traveling to Italy just as the UK was coming out of Covid-19 lockdown but we are so glad that we did. We stayed in a Eurocamp Comfort home which was pretty basic and fairly dated, some way short of a similar caravan that you would find in the UK. It did have air-con though which was definitely needed! The site itself is fairly small but had a decent shop and pool. The best part was it's proximity to the lake, and although not visible from most accomodation is just a short walk away. Annoyingly there is a locked gate which would considerably cut the walk to the nearby beach but we only discovered on our last day that you could rent a pass to open it. Due to covid restrictions, the pool was limited and we couldn't be bothered with the daily process of getting a sunbed pass from reception, although it was no problem to just use the pool and sit at the bar which overlooked the pool, keeping an eye on the kids and enjoying a cold beer. I thought it would be more sensible to offer the sunbeds at the pool itself on a first come first served basis, and when people left then their bed could be freed up. We only saw one other British family on site, and lots from Holland, Germany and of course Italy. This was fine by us Having visited Rome and Florence en-route, the town of Peschiera seemed a little overcrowded with not much regard for social distancing, and it was noticeable that masks weren't being worn half as much as in the cities - this seemed to be foreign visitors flouting the rules which seemed pretty disrespectful to the locals who were trying their best to safely welcome tourists Driving around was fine and we visited many places around the lake from our base. Although the accomodation wasn't quite luxury, it was the only way we were going to afford a week in this beautiful place.

Not goodThe mobile home was dirty and neglected on arrival. The staff has been weighing two days in advance when you go home and when they can come check for cleanliness. In the case of garbage that is very far away, there is also a person who is anything but friendly. In the camp, in some parts, there is no space for cars at all. Especially in accommodations where there are 7 people. Air conditioning is at an additional cost. I do not recommend !!

Great Location and friendly staffThe camp was very easy to find and is just a 15 minute walk from Peschiera railway station and there are quite a few restaurants along the way so, as we arrived a little early we stopped off along the way. On arrival our temperature was checked and we were given our armband and guidance on COVID-19 restrictions such as the Italian requirement to wear masks after 6pm (which almost nobody did!). We were guided to a second reception where the English rep met us and showed us to our caravan. He was very friendly and provided guidance on the check our arrangements etc. He also dropped by the day before we left to check on us and remind us of the check out requirements. We were supposed to take all of our rubbish to the bins before we left but we didn't realise the bis area closes so when we went it was closed and we left early in the morning so ended up leaving our rubbish. After a quick text to him he agreed to clear it for us. The caravan was a little small (we had a two bedroom with air-conditioning) but since there was just two of us and we did not spend too much time in there it was ok. We purchased the welcome pack so had some essentials but since we had to separate out every piece of rubbish to 6 bags it would have been good for them to provide more than one rubbish bag:( My only other negatives for the caravan was that there was no television and a charge for wifi so we paid and watched Netflix. There is a shop on site and it stocks most things that we wanted - fresh croissants in the morning were very nice but sell out very quickly. The site is very close to Lake Garda - just across the road and there are lots of restaurants within walking distance.I would recommend walking into the main town as it is quite busy and interesting at night.
