  Camping Riviera - bad experience

  We stayed one night in this camp. We arrived at about 21:00, September, 1st. The reception was already closed but as usual, there was a notice with the name and phone number for staff. So, we called it and the guy showed us the price, our bungalow and we agreed with him that we want to check out at 06:00am. He told us that the reception is open from 08:00am but showed us the notice with his number to call him - so we were satisfied. Then, he showed us our bungalow - it was not so simple because it seemed to us that he is not very familiar with the campsite. After three tries, we were before our bungalow. In the morning, 06:05 am, we were before the reception. We called to the number but after the first try, no respone. So, we called again - the same - no respone. we waited some time and again - no respone. It was a difficult situation for us because it was very important for us to start our trip so early because of 1100 km towards home. We cannot leave witout paying and our IDs. At about 6:40am, I rang the bell on the main gate. After that an old italien woman came to us and after we explained the situation to her, she went for a director. We hoped that our problem was resolved. The director was very unpleasant and she told us that she is a director here and the reception is open only when she says and no guy from the previous day, a watchman, as she told. After these words, she went away. So it was not possible to discuss anything with her. The only possibility for us was to wait. During this time period, we saw some thinks not acceptable for a camp. For example their dog drunks from the bath for clients, two cats were closed in the reception walking on the documetns and clients IDs. At 7:40am some girl opened the reception and we could pay. Other surprise was the price for our bungalow. The guy from previos day told us 60 EUR and the girl 80 EUR. That was to much and we argued that we obtained another information. The girl in the reception probably knew the situation better than the director and she gave us the agreed price. To sum up, we were in this camp only one night but NEVER MORE - the behaviour of the director was not acceptable for any kind of camp not even an international campsite. We DO NOT RECOMMEND this camp in any case, you can try another one - this area is reach on campsites, the next one is 10 minutes by car. We stayed in many campsites in Italy but this is the only camp where it is not possible to check out outside opening hours even if you agree with the staff. And the director needs to learn a lot how to communicate with clients.
