Lovely pool complexSt Gilles is in a brilliant location right on the coast, you can walk or cycle safely into Bénodet, even with children wobbling on bikes. The site has a fantastic pool complex, works as both indoor and outdoor with great slides, fountains, lazy river and more. The water was a few degrees too cool for me, but the kids had hours of fun in there and we were able to relax under the palm trees. Theres a little epicerie on site selling all the basics, and a couple of food outlets though they only sell cheap fast food - we preferred to self cater on our pitch, thanks to a fantastic, huge supermarket about 20 minutes drive away. Theres entertainment most evenings in the bar, you can hire bikes on site and theres a spa, though we were unable to go into it due to lack of childcare. Had a lovely holiday here all in all - thank you!

Ruined by the rough poolFirstly let me say the staff at the sunny club, pool and bar area were outstanding as with all Sunelia camps. The grounds and accommodation were of equally high standards. Sadly though the pool (despite its cleanliness and appeal) and response to concerns from reception staff were below standard. Bad enough for us and other families to cancel next years bookings. After only 45 minutes in the pool we thought our son had cut his foot as it was bleeding. We put this down to bad luck and come back the second day. However both our childrens feet were bleeding in several places after just 30 minutes, the skin had worn off so much they were sore and bleeding! We approached the lifeguard to ask him about this and he said it is common as the pool has a rough layer (which it does). He apologized and said management knew about this and we should report it to reception. (On another point he had no first aid kit to offer assistance). When we talked to the receptionist we were told 1. Perhaps they were in too long and 2. They should wear socks! No genuine apology. This clearly showed it was a common issue but there are no warning signs about this problem, also who wants to go on a holiday where your time in the pool is limited!? I was told to return to talk with another member of staff later but they offered no apology. Despite showing him the pictures. This clearly happens a lot as there are blood stains around the pool and we saw other families/children having their feet treated. After both our children suffered such sore feet they could not enjoy the pool, sandy beach or saltwater due to the pain for a large part of the holiday. Not what we expect from a 5star Sunelia camp and at the price we paid.

Travel with your own tentBooked a fixed tent sleeping for five persons . As this should have been easier process than the usual camping . The tent was close to reception and the entrance / exit . The fixed tent was at least 20 years old judging by the rust on the frames and perhaps after the lockdown we were the first to arrive in the new season . Due to The pandemic . One bridge to the slide area was closed . The children then jumped into the water and climbed the other wall . This was the only closure in the complex one small bridge . To avoid social contact but u pass everyone at the entrance to the pool . My son was pushed and broke his front tooth at this closed off bridge. I reported this to the manager and tried to find a dentist via the receptionist. Like other reviews simply no concern which is a life changing incident . Found after a lot of calls a Dentist . Like other reviews the swimming pool area is small and the surface cuts your feet . Before writing the review I emailed the company re my concerns alas I was not given a reply . The site states it is 5 star the tent provided was 0 stars and I should have traveled with my own tent. Photos of bridge closed and a child crossing the gap and the entrance / exit to the pool !!!

Terrible treatment of refundWe were due to holiday on holiday summer 2020, due to travel restrictions we were unable to travel. They are refusing to refund our deposit stating that we could have attended the holiday even though we could not fly out of the middle east to get there. Very disappointed we will not booking again!!!

Awesome sunny trip to Benodet, fabulous site great for families!7 night stay in Eurocamp 2 bed chalet. We had fantastic time, the pool facilities were brilliant and our 7 and 9 year olds loved the slides and lazy river. Food on site basic and expensive put perfect when you arrive at 8:30pm and needed food for kids, we opted for pizza and they thoroughly enjoyed. Mostly we ate in Bénodet and cooked bbq on site on a night, great supermarket 2 mins to get supplies. Bar and entertainment area brilliant not too loud and the kids enjoyed the dancing/ concerts and bingo! Beach two minute walk away which is great for evening stroll and crab finding. Hired bikes which was easy and rode into Bénodet fantastic, and we all enjoyed it. Accommodation brilliant, double bed and then opposite side of living area kids room which had two singles and a bunks bed so plenty of room. Fan and bbq provided. Only criticism was decking out the front was very dated and actually one panel snapped when we were leaving which we informed eurocamp rep and they were going to get fixed. Site lovely and calm and plenty of entertainment, kidspark good too. Well definitely be back thanks.
