A real experience
Visited as part of the Sahara experience tour from our hotel in Hammamet arrived on the camel express just before 7pm and sunset. Out of nowhere appears this hotel in the middle of the dessert its a brilliant experience. We stayed in a tent with a bed, chair and table with a light and electric plug and was much more comfortable than expected in fact I slept very well except for someone in the tent next to us snoring all night. There is a small pool which is exactly what you will need especially after our 12 hour coach ride and the heat had started to get unbearable. Theres a shower and toilet block which were pretty basic but what you would expect from being in the middle of nothing. The bar area was very nice see photo and quite reasonable prices, the food a bit basic but traditional. All in all a great experience and really made our holiday to Tunisia. Visit as part of a tour it's well worth it and will be a lifetime memory.

Stargazing? Star-mazing!
A bumpy thrill of a ride into the desert on the Sahara train, ending at a wonderful, dimly lit fortress. As soon as you're within the 'Romancing the Stone' style camp, whip your footwear off to be instantly relaxed by the envigorating feel of the silky sand between your toes... sand like no other! Eat like a Sheikh with some delicious Tunisian cuisine, drink mouth-watering Tunisian beer 'Celtic' and take the wooden stairs to the stars. Once on the viewing platform, lay back in the still of the night, with your hair and bare feet in the sand and gaze in awe at the spectacular stars up above - a starry night like no other and a sky that will stay with you forever! (Shooting stars in abundance!!) And if you're a little hot with the scorching desert heat and the overwhelming views of Earth's ceiling, go for a late night float in the dip pool. The tents are fab, with comfy mattresses on pallets and the sound of distant bugs to lull you to sleep. Overall... absolutely amazing!!!
