  Cómodo

  Me pareció un moderno alojamiento, bien equipado, habitación moderna y cama muy cómoda. Fácil de encontrar si vas de paso y necesitas hacer noche. El personal de recepción no me pareció demasiado profesional y poco cercano. Fue mucho más amable el seguridad que estaba por la noche. Podría revomendarlo!

  Sadly not so good

  Have stayed in this Campanile many times over the years and many others too. Sadly this time we were unable to secure a dinner reservation for the evening even though we arrived at 18:30 and it was only a Tuesday. The next morning at breakfast at around 08:00 their were very few people eating but their were no croissants and a long queue for the single coffee machine which had replaced the usual flasks of coffee and warm milk. When it broke down the queue got longer and we gave up! Not recommended, the rather obvious cost cutting of the last two years has sadly impacted their once reliable, attractive and good value offering. We will look elsewhere for our next French journey.

  Buffet

  My wife and I have stayed at this hotel in Vierzon at least 20 times because it's approximately half-way between UK and Spain; and secondly because of the previous quality of the self-service buffet. We liked the large choice of fresh salads and vegetables. But recently twice this year we have had to ask the staff for green salads and tomatoes that were not presented. The photo on the front of your menu shows; green leaves, peppers, beans, peas, tomatoes, cucumber, celery. But none of this has been available this year. At the last visit, there were about six mixed salad dishes which were all coated and mixed with mayonnaise or some other white / yellow sauce, there was nothing fresh except grated carrot.

  Overnight stop

  As usual hotel is clean and comfortable for an overnight stay whilst travelling down through France. However it was a little disappointing to find the restaurant was closed for a local booking. It would have been helpful to have known that this would be happening as being able to get a no hassle meal after a long days travelling is important.

  Disappointing stay

  This was our first time to stay in a Campanile Hotel and we were under the impression that they were normally of a higher standard than other Motorway convenient hotels This is definitely not so. In view of Covid 19 we were a little apprehensive of a hotel stay but it was necessary as we were travelling from North Wales to the south of France. As we are of the venerable age with underlying health issues we decided to take our own food for the two day journey, After booking in with a not the usual nice French welcome we receive each year we went to our room which they stated was a quiet room. It was in the block closest to the Motorway. The whole of the outside of the premises looked shabby and our room, No 24, had a massive crack in the toilet bowl, (not very hygienic) and two holes in the bathroom wall where the towel rail had fallen off at some time. In view of the fact that we had brought sandwiches as we didn't know the restaurant situation in France, and our vulnerability, we asked if we could just sit down at one of the many empty tables outside and eat our sandwiches. We were told that "IT WAS NOT POSSIBLE" !!! There was one chair in our room so we sat on the chair and the bedside cabinet. It was extremely hot and the air con was not working in our room or in the neighbour's room. The neighbour called reception and a man called round and insisted it was working. It was warmer in the room than it was outside!! In the "Cheaper" hotels we have always had security gates, there were non here. I would definitely not recommend Campanile Vierzon and will not be staying there again
