  First Time

  It was my first time in France and I was just excited to be there. I had done my research so I knew the rooms were smaller than the US and I expected stairs. Well there is no elevator for the three floors as expected and yes the rooms were small. I did not mind it at all. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was nice and accommodating. The breakfast each morning was the same but good. I was pleasantly surprised at night how nice the breeze was. I would open my door to let the breeze into the room and there were no bugs! I would not suggest doing this regularly but there was a large group of us and we mostly filled the hotel. The room was cleaned everyday and the bed made and fresh towels in the bathroom. I was surprised that there were no face cloths but there is a mall about 5 steps away so that was no problem either. My one complaint was that the power went out several times again, i think it was because of the size of our group and us Americans plugging in all of our gadgets lol. I enjoyed my stay and would go back again. Its more of what we would call a motel but very clean and comfortable.

  Comfortable and clean

  Campanile are about like Travelodge in the UK, but done with French style and panache. Rooms are generally twin beds with kettle for tea and coffee, wardrobe area and shower bathroom. There are no baths available. Meals are good value. 10 breakfast (6.30 am to 9.00am),15 menu of the day plus a la carte. The hotel is on a large commercial centre with Auchan amongst others nearby. Handy for central Paris and Charles dear Gaulle airport.

  Last generation campanile

  But I got a non-smoking room visited by an unpolite smoker. Stayed for one night, I didn't have breakfast Great shower. A little noisy. Good desk to work. Ecologic liquid soap and shampoo, hair dryer included

  good value for money

  We had to stay in the area for a funeral and this hotel was perfectly adequate for our needs. The room was clean and had everything you needed ( apart from a safe, but not really a problem). Pillows a bit small and towels seen a few washes, but really absolutely fine,given the price. No real noise although close to motorway. Restaurant for food at breakfast and evening meal gave reasonable choice and was well stocked throughout. Staff very helpful

  Barely worth 1 star!!

  Asked for room on ground floor as we had dogs, given last one, wreaked of cigarette smoke (I didn't think guests were allowed to smoke in the rooms???). Receptionist said they hadn't had time to freshen room as previous guest left late but would be along soon with some air freshener... no show!! so we went and bought a can ourselves, it masked the smell for a while but smell was still evident. Hotel restaurant closed... excuse - they had no food!!!, nearby eating places were not good unless you like mcdonalds. It seems they have the book a 1001 excuses for hotel owners. Poor stay Breakfast 11.90 Euros, overpriced For the price we paid for the room we would expect better than this. It was basic and certainly not a good experience at the campanile... never again.
