  Surprisingly nice.

  Campaniles often get very variable reviews - it's always hard to know what to expect but we booked this one and crossed our fingers. The outside is a bit tired - but don't judge a book by its cover. The room was clean, quiet and everything worked. It is a cheap place to stay (en route to the Alps) and the staff were lovely. The restaurant was very quiet and we were well looked after. A very pleasant stay. Very good value for money.

  Clean and tidy, but no aircon

  After discovering that the satnav (TomTom) took us to an "entrance" blocked by boulders, we eventually made our way to the official entrance. Reception was efficient although she was trying to run the restaurant as well. Room had not been updated recently but was clean and tidy. Other Campaniles nearby now have aircon, and it was something we missed on a hot June day and night. Other customers arrived noisily late and/or departed early, so it was not the most restful of stopovers. The restaurant was up to standard. We enjoyed the evening buffet, and the breakfast one too. I am waiting to find out whether I get charged twice for the room, or whether as asserted by the front desk all those card details I put into the internet were only a reservation.... fingers crossed! One of the advantages of Campaniles is the freedom (official or otherwise) to take a pet (a cat in our case) into the room. He made himself comfy at once, seeming to recognise Campanile rooms in general as familiar territory

  Value for Money

  Whilst the overall room size and bathroom were a little small, it was very neat and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was the most generous we experienced in the past 7weeks of travel. The restaurant served very good meals as well. We used St Dizier as a stop over Paris and found it to be very dentally located to banks, laundrymat, and supermarket which fulfilled our needs.

  Campanile Saint Dizier

  Very good location, friendly staff. Hotel is low budget but outdated. In the current state I would not recommend this place to friends or family. Location just outside the city center is very good....

  Good location but ...

  The hotel is in a good location, but in need of refurbishment. It is showing its age especially in the bathroom. There is no air conditioning which is needed, however this was clearly stated when booked.
