Terrible place to stayI was very disappointed with this Campanile, my wife and I have stayed many times in Campanile hotels and this is by far the worst. As this hotel is so close to Dunkerque ferry port I would have expected the reception staff to speak reasonable English. This was not the case the receptionist seem to refuse to reply in English even when spoken to in English. The room was dirty, the carpet especially, the shelf in the bathroom was loose so much so that when we put toileteries etc on the shelf it tipped over sending my wife's perfume crashing into the sink smashing the bottle. Also the restaurant was closed completely, we had had no notification of this prior to our trip. We h ad to walk across the road to a steak house for our evening meal and again across the road to the Kyriad for breakfast. The restaurant looked as if it had been closed for some time, with tables and chairs stacked in one corner. All very inconvenient, the whole hotel looked to be in a complete state of disrepair, and looked as if it was on the point of closing down completely. Standard of service was appalling

Avoid this hotel if you don't speak French! We booked this hotel, that is directly located at the Dunkerque ferry Port for an overnight stay on our way from Cornwall to Germany. Traffic in the UK was high and although we had a proper time buffer, we weren't able to make it to the ferry in time and were booked on the next ferry that was scheduled to arrive at 11pm in Dunkerque. We called the hotel twice to inform them about our late arrival but no one spoke English...not even basic English. Arrival was only possible until 11pm. A hotel in a transit country between the EU and UK, especially that close to the ferry port should definitely have staff - at least during day time - that speaks proper English because almost all people that cross the channel have at least basic english but mostly no French knowledge...that is called hospitality! We asked for a reduction of the no-show fees that was declined. No recommendation for this hotel!

Fone for a one night stayReception efficient, room clean. Restaurant closed but I had expected that. Theresnot a lot more to say. I had difficulty booking on line as the only prices displayed were for Members Only - with no advice as to how to become a member. After an expensive phonecall with a very helpful woman in central booking I was able to get a confirmed booking, which gave me peace of mind.

Dunkirk overnightThis hotel was terrible, it suffered a fire in September and is still not repaired. The room smelt terrible. There are no good things I can say about this hotel. I would not advise anyone to stay at this hotel.there are no warnings on the website. I had prepaid breakfast and was sent across the road to a budget hotel for a very mediocre breakfast.

On the way to CalaisWe spent a pleasant two-day stay in this hotel. The rooms are comfortable. The location is very good to travel by car to Calais. It has a private parking lot and there is a supermarket on the other side of the roundabout, which opens from 8 am to 8 pm.
