  Clean and comfortable

  A nice, clean and comfortable hotel. It offers a nice breakfast with plenty of selection of food. There is also a large car park on-site. The only down side to the hotel was that it is not that well signposted.

  NIce little hotel

  The hotel was good value, clean and easy to find. The staff were helpful and pleasant, although not being a main tourist area like Paris English was not as widely spoke as we hoped. At least we could use google to help when our holiday French failed us. The hotel is situated on the edge of a fantastic little town with great bars and restaurants. Well worth a visit or overnight stay if traveling further afield.

  The worst hotel experience I have had

  We arrived at this hotel late on 6/07/19 when a convention was clearly just checking out. The room we were given literally stank of cigarette smoke. I am not particularly sensitive to smoke but I almost gagged on opening the door. We felt we could not ask for another room as the receptionist had given us to understand that we were lucky to get a room for the night. I woke up in the middle of the night and was obliged to open the door and window to let in some fresh air as the smell of smoke was still suffocating even though we had been in the room for several hours. The air conditioning dripped ALL NIGHT, and in the morning I discovered that the trousers that I had hung next to it were completely soaked through. We are French speakers and when I complained (in French) to the receptionist in the morning he didn't apologise, but merely shrugged his shoulders and asked why we didn't ask for a different room. A truly dreadful and upsetting experience for which we were charged 91 euros. That's it for Campanile as far as I am concerned.

  Good overnight stop on our last night in France

  Clean, comfortable bed, good blackout roller blinds, good shower, nice big shelf in the bedroom, good aircon, good enough evening meal, especially dessert buffet, good breakfast, quiet overnight, decaff coffee available on request, relaxed check-out (i.e. not out by 10am), friendly staff. Room small, but enough space to walk round the bed. Dinner menu a bit limited, but good Specials board. External spiral staircase to access upstairs rooms was a bit difficult with cases to carry - no lift.

  Not to the usual standard

  We stayed at this hotel on 19/09/2020. We booked on the companys app,but were werent informed that the restaurant would be closed for the weekend,which was annoying. The room had some issues. There were no coat hangars,the tv remote didnt work so we couldnt use it,there was no plug in the sink & the hairdryer didnt work. When we went back to reception,we couldnt find any staff . We use Campanile all the time & we know this is not the usual standard.
