Good hotel for a short stayFriendly staff. Room is just okay. Enough parking space. The coffee/thee, water boiler in the room is convenient, especially if you're in a hurry for an early meeting. The shower curtain is a bit old doesn't look fresh.

Good for the priceThis Dutch Campanile is slightly different from others we have stayed at in France and the rooms are more standard hotel rather than the Motel type. The staff were absolutely great especially Patrick who really went out of his way to help us. Sadly there was not enough staff to properly run the restaurant so meals were very disappointing and actually not very edible. It turned out that Patrick and some of the girls on duty for the weekend we were there were doing all the Hotel jobs by themselves including the cooking ! ! ! Because the hotel is in an semi industrial area there were no restaurants within walking distance so we had to make do with the food on offer and that was not good. Housekeeping may need to check the quality of the maid service as after my room was cleaned I found that the sheets had not been changed or even tucked in ! ! This is a shame as all other aspects of our stay were fine. Overall the price was very good for the room rate per night.

Basic but very comfortable and affordableWhile visiting friends in Amersfoort I decided to stay here. Its not too far from Amersfoort Schothorst train station and is easy enough to get there via bus. I had a friendly welcome and was checked in with ease. On first impressions the room was very clean but basic. After visiting my friends I used the bathroom and the shower was lovely. Very warm and extremely powerful! Despite the basic look the bed and pillows were immensely comfortable. I had a (mostly) great nights sleep for the entirety of the stay but my one small complaint would be the walls are very thin and I was woken a few times by noisy people returning/leaving the rooms despite being a heavy sleeper, so earplugs would probably be needed if you sleep light. What I cant complain about though is the price. The last stay in Amersfoort was at a local four star hotel which was double the price and was less comfortable. This time visiting I paid for my flights, the hotel and still had money spare compared to just the price of the hotel before. I would definitely stay here again and will be when I return in the not too distant future.

Two weeks of pleasentnessDear All, This hotel is cheap, but very cheerful! I have spent eight days in there, very comfortable large spacious rooms. Very powerful shower! Food is good, breakfast is good, little bit pricy at 12. Mostly a cold buffet, but eggs, pancakes and bacon are offered hot! Evening meals are excellent, flavourful and well presented. The staff are friendly and always pleasant, all speak excellent English and put up with my awful attempts at Dutch!

A tired hotel in need of refurbishmentCampanile Hotels, wherever they happen to be located, are fairly standard - you know exactly what to expect, but I am sad to say that the budget hotel standards are no longer reflected in the prices charged. For the price I paid I have to say that I expect better than paper cups, thin plastic spoons and base standards. The paint work in my room desperately needed redoing, as in fact it did throughout the hotel with the exception of the reception area which was airy and light. The rest of the hotel is decorated in a shabby off-white colour with green doors; the walls and the doors alike are battered from countless suitcases bashing into them and gives an air of dreary tiredness. I found the staff all excellent and friendly, the standard of food in the restaurant very good and a willingness to help where possible. I booked a disabled room and was not given one; when I enquired why, I was told that the hotel does not have disabled rooms - I find this unacceptable in modern times. In all eventualities, I should have been told there are no disabled rooms at the time of booking, and I shall be taking this up with Campanile Benelux Head Office. All in all, I found this hotel to be OK, but no better than that; for the price paid, I was (and remain) disappointed with the standards on offer.
