Great offbeat resort to stay in VattavadaFirst of all, the resort is at Pazhathottam near Vattavada which is almost 40 kms away from Munnar town (takes more than 2 hours by road during the day). So it is not a great place to stay for those who are planning for sightseeing in and around Munnar town. But the good thing is that, this is away from all the noises and pollution of the town and has got a better climate as well. It is more cold and has much better air around. There are only individual cottages in the property with a bedrooms, dining area, kitchen and a fireplace. Toilets were clean and functional. The furnishing inside the bedroom and the bed in general was good, but nothing exceptional. The area outside the cottages are well maintained and has an old world charm in it. There are a lot of places for photoshoots. Food was great and can be ordered into the cottages or can be had at the dining hall. The cottages were not having mobile coverage when we visited and hence gave us the chance to enjoy the views of the hills and farms nearby.

Excellent property with poor managementVisited Camp Noel in Feb 2021 for a night along with freinds. The facility and location is excellent . Had booked 2 cottages for 12 of us packaged with food & confirmed the booking with advance. We reached at around 6pm after travelling 8 hrs as it was a weekend and the traffic was heavy. The guide who took us to our cottages could not find the cottages as it was dark. He left us in the dark for sometime till some staff spotted the cottage. One cottage was dark as the electrical dB has burnt off and then it was repaired temporarily. Water in both the cottages was dirty and dark brown. There was half burnt wood at the fire place inside one cottage. There were 8 towels kept for 12 people .When we complained this to the Operations Manager Mr.Thampi , he was harsh saying that we have to live with it . The chairs inside the cottages were broken and two of fell down from these. We moved to the dinner hall at around 945pm and then only of few of us got Paratta and rice. When asked for both of these they brought some chappatis and again the manager Thampi was harsh telling us that this is only available . We had to exchange a lot of conversation with the staff and the manager left the hall without any answers or action. There were other guests in the hall who also joined us with the same issue of lights in the cottage, food and other issues. All the cottages were full and with families . Most of them had issues and they told us as they did not want to create a scene in front of their families. There are few staff ( young new recruits ) who tried to manage the whole situation and satisfy the guests . They are also helpless with the attitude of the managing staff. There were travel agents who had come to access the facility to recommend to their clients who faced the same issue. Bad management is the disaster of the facility.

Total wasteThe Resorts looking grt. But front office management is totally waste. They are Offering only Buffett its totally waste money. I will never refer anyone to this property. Because of bad behavior every one getting angry against the management. So better don't visit this property. Time waste and money waste. If I am wrong plz ask to anyone who stayed this property on 13 to 14 feb 2021.

Nice property with poor management.Myself and friends stayed at this property in Feb 2021 and had a very bad experience. After travelling such a long time, we expected some relaxation with good hospitality. But the Manager over here was arrogant from the beginning, as if we were staying at his mercy. The location and ambience are superb, but the management is spoiling the entire atmosphere. I do agree with the above comments 100% with the experience we had that night. I will never recommend this property to anyone. There was shortage of food for dinner, hot water was not coming in the bathroom as required, the water was so dirty. except the Manager other staffs tried to manage the situation and behaved well. I had the worst travel experience of my life time.... Thanks.

Good Property with pathetic managementThe property is nice but the management is a complete disaster.I had stayed there with my family in Feb'21 for two days. First and foremost the road to the resort was totally gone,it was a tuff task to reach there. Once we reached there we figured out by ourselves that there was an alternative shortcut road available . After reaching the resort the front office people's attitude was totally unwelcoming. They had just one question from the moment you step in. Shall we book a jeep trip ? They were also insisting us for booking a dinner buffet .The only intention they have there is to make money out of the people coming there, but indeed don't have the courtesy to treat the customers well. We did book the jeep trip which I would say is not worth the money. The buffet was a total flop with very little food available when we reached by 8 and finally we had to walk out paying the whole amount. I could see other customers fighting there but did not want to create a mess since i had my family
