  Lovely Hotel & Host's

  My Brother and I spent only one night last week in this l hotel and wished we were there for longer, everything about it was delightful and I can't recommend it enough , our other brother recommended it to us and he wasn't wrong , so if you are in the area do yourself a favour and book in there, the host's Deidre & Greg couldn't be nicer, nothing is too much trouble if ever I return to the area it'll be my fist stop !

  Lovely B&B

  Stayed here last week with my friend. This is a very beautiful B&B which is immaculate and very tastefully decorated. I had my little dog with me and Deidre the host would have accommodated him in our bedroom, but when I saw the bedroom it was so clean that I decided to let the little dog just sleep out overnight in the car. Very comfortable bed and very peaceful at night ensuring a good nights sleep. Enjoyed a lovely breakfast in the morning. Deidre and her husband Greg are so accommodating and Greg even came out in the morning to meet my little dog. They have a dog of their own, 15 years old who just wanders about the B&B. He is very clean and causes no problem to the guests. There is a short walk over a bridge into the village. The place is a haven for those who like fishing. There are a couple of rooms in the B&B for guests to relax and there is also a games room with a snooker table for guests to enjoy. Definitely highly recommend this B&B, no one will be disappointed at the end of their stay. Unfortunately we were only staying the one night but would have no hesitation in using this B&B again.

  A Haven

  My wife and I recently spent 4 nights at Camillaun Lodge in the middle of a two-week tour of Ireland, and it was a highlight of our trip. First, Deirdre and Greg were so kind and helpful. They made sure that we had everything we needed for a great stay. Breakfast each morning was delicious, and we felt totally relaxed and at home here. The location on the river was perfect for a boat ride and fishing, and the short walk into the village was so charming. Everywhere we ate in Oughterard was top notch, especially Powers Thatch and Halloran's. While staying here we felt like we had a very authentic Irish experience, and it was wonderful. We definitely hope to stay here again!

  Excellent quality fishing dinghies!

  We rented 2 fishing dinghies with outboards from Camillaun Lodge to use during our stay in June 2019. The service provided was excellent - not only was their quote the most reasonable one received, the dinghies performed faultlessly and were waiting at our rental house on the banks of Lough Corrib when we arrived. I dropped by at the Lodge to settle our bill, Deirdre was full of good advice on things to see during our visit and places to fish. The latter sadly did not help us that much, we struggled with the fishing on Corrib, but her advice to visit the island of Inchagoill was heeded and we loved it. Lovely people, great service, thank you!

  Wonderful boat hire

  We turned up one evening at 5pm without a booking inquiring about hiring a boat to see lough Corrib. This was no problem. Deirdre was very helpful and advised she usually hires out boats for 3hrs but as we had limited time left she had no issue with letting the boat for 2hrs or whatever suited us. She went through all the safety details with us and gave us a map on which parts of the lough as most to see. We had a wonderful evening and enjoyed the boat so much. All boats are in great condition and we could do wherever we wished. I would highly recommend hiring a boat here and see the lough for yourself.
