PerfectThis is my second stay at the Camai Bed and Breakfast and my visit, as was the last one, was superb. The rooms are large suites, tastefully decorated and extremely clean. The breakfasts are delicious, always a great start to the day. The owners, Caroline and Craig, are a fantastic couple! They are very welcoming and accommodating. Traveling alone, Caroline and Craig made me feel welcome and at home, I felt I had family in a place where I knew no one. I love the Camai and will look forward to staying there anytime I need lodging in Anchorage.

Caroline was just an incredible host. Best B&B that I have stayed at in the U.S.Bed was comfortable, breakfast was out of this world, and the hospitality showed by Caroline was second to none. The unit was spotless and Caroline went out of her way to make me feel at home. I originally booked a hotel in Anchorage but decided at the last minute to check and see if this property had availability and so glad that it did. The location is perfect (only 5 minutes to the University and to the hospital) and less than 15 minutes to downtown. When I visit Anchorage again, I will check Camai first before looking into any other accommodation options!

Best B&B in Anchorage!!Camai is a beautiful B&B, Garden, and place to make friends. The hosts Caroline and Craig were kind, pleasant, and very knowledgeable about everything Alaska. We took Carolines recommendation to visit Talkeetna and it was an excellent stop for lunch at Denali Brewing. The accommodations were top notch! Extremely comfortable bed, private bedrooms and bath, and the water in her house comes from a nearby glacier! My favorite was breakfast, because Caroline took our vegetarian lifestyle into consideration and we had AMAZING grilled brussel sprouts, eggs, homemade scones, and fresh fruit. Hands down the best B&B in Anchorage....and I might even say Alaska. If you are flying into Anchorage and its late, please stay at Camai. The hosts will welcome you in and are considerate of your long journey. They will get you to bed quick and in the morning can answer questions about anything Alaska. I will be staying again soon when we come back to Alaska. Thanks Camai!

Great hospitality with immaculate rooms.Had an two-night stay for a conference and Caroline and Craig were very hospitable. Breakfasts were delicious, and the company was great. I will definitely be staying there again if I have to be on that side of town. Excellent access to Providence, the Native Health Center and UAA. Thanks!

DISAPPOINTEDThis B & B is located in a residential area. Although the place was indeed clean, there was a distict odor to the place. Not sure what it was. We arrived about 4 p.m. It took the "Craig" quite a while to answer the door and then he asked who we were and what we wanted. When we said we had a reservation, he told us we were late so he was taking a nap. He invited us in and procedeed to tell us the house rules. No shoes, no loud music, no tv after 11, don't touch the remote other than to change the channel, etc. When Caroline stopped in she apologized for not making up the day bed for my daughter. She said she forgot we were coming that day and she had a "class". When we asked about using the hot tub, she sighed and said she would have to have chemicals put in it cause it wasn't ready and would have liked more notice. We didn't want to use it until the next day, and we didn't see her until late in the evening. On our way out to dinner, we told her we would not use the hot tub, she said "fine." Her attitude was snooty and dismissive. I did not eat breakfast, the odor of the house upset me, but my daughter said it was very good. Prepared baked eggs, toast, fresh fruit and coffee/tea. We were to sleep there 2 days, we did not stay for breakfast the second day and left very early in the morning of checkout. I wouldn't go back. Maybe it was a bad day for them and for me.
