  Key Siesta. Sarasota

  Sarasota queda 3 horas 15 minutos de Miami por la I -75. Calini Beach Resort es un hotel con una construcción vieja, con un front desk básico y personal amable, las unidades tienen unos 120 mts que incluyen 2 cuartos, 2 baños, salón comedor y cocina. Los muebles son viejos igual que la nevera y cocina . Es un hotel de 2da línea es decir no está al frente de la playa, aunque el acceso a la misma es muy fácil y la distancia es corta. Recomiendo sin duda alguna pedir las hab del 4to piso que dan al mar y tienen muy buena vista. La playa es espectacular, agua verde clara muy llana , poca corriente parece un lago sin olas, ideal para niños , con una arena que permite caminarla descalzo. A veces no hay sombrillas en la playa que son gratuitas, se agotan . Yo me llevé las mías y no pase trabajo. Calidad y ambiente del hotel 40% Calidad y ambiente de la playa 90% Calidad y ambiente de la ciudad 90% Yo volvería a key Siesta en Sarasota, Florida , pero a otro Resort.

  The Beach Doesn't Get Any Better!

  Been coming to Siesta Key for 44 years. Stayed at Calini about 35 years ago, many updates since that time. The location is great, can walk to many things, restaurants, shops, convenient stores, etc. Unfortunately the hot tub was not open due to Covid, but the pool is heated to a nice 85. Future reservations should be made aware that demolition and construction is due to start Jan 2021 between Calini and the beach. There will be noise and in the end the beautiful view that is there now will be gone!

  Great location on Siesta Key

  Location right near beach and several restaurants. We had a 4th-floor unit with a fantastic view of the Gulf and the sunset. Units are large and quiet. Go now before the views get blocked by a new building.

  Calini Beach Club

  Very spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bath units, with everything you need. Master bed super comfortable. Due to covid-19 hot tub, game room, etc. was closed, heated pool still open. Two loungers and an umbrella set up for each unit on the beach is a plus, but is taken down by 4:30. There are several restaurants and bars within walking distance. Covered parking is underneath the units to protect from the sun. THERE IS A RESORT BETWEEN CALINI AND THE BEACH THAT WILL BE REBUILT FIVE OR SO STORIES HIGH THAT WILL CHANGE THE CURRENT VIEW.

  Please step up your Sanitizing- We LOVE Calini!!!

  When we arrived we wiped our entire unit down with Clorox wipes. We just left another RCI resort in Sarasota the week prior and did the same thing upon entry. At the other resort we found nothing visible that was showing uncleanliness. At Calini the cloths were filthy. My daughter went down to the office to show them but the office is not open and you have to communicate through an intercom. Even then, they did not answer. They did call her back and she was told that the manager walked through to check the unit but she is color blind so may not have noticed the food on the light switches, Dark dirt on the beige leather chair etc...... We NEVER saw anyone sanitizing anything during our week stay. The office staff stayed locked up in the office and were NOT out on the property ensuring things were being cleaned- or doing it themselves. The pool in the past would have a service come daily. You would see them check the chemicals. The pool appeared clean, however you never saw the company. NEVER did we see any pool furniture wiped down. Rumor has it that they are charging owners an additional covid cleaning fee. Not sure how they can honestly do that when the above was the case along with no mid week clean, no towel trading and even if you stayed more than one week they would NOT clean your unit. That is truly unacceptable. We love Calini and our family owns three weeks there. They need to step up their game right now. Be present to the owners and guests with visibility on the grounds and wipe things down. This is an easy fix.
