  Everything you expect and more from medium sized 4+ star resort

  Shuttle from airport: Shared shuttle 45-120min (ours was 120min with Alltours/Killiglobal). Private shuttle minimum 40 min. Return shuttle leaves 4 hours before the flight. Sometimes children stay for free, so many children, especially during holidays and many activities for children. Staff: Excellent 5+*/pleasant staff all around, engaging but not in your face. No tips needed to get excellent service, but much appreciated. Corona: Mask wearing by staff compulsory! Staff gets tested when they have complaints. Guests: no masks compulsory and distancing is sometimes a problem, we solved this by wearing masks at the buffet, which is setup Covid-19 proof. Hand sanitizer all over the hotel available, and for each table. Temperature check once on arrival. On the streets 10% of tourists wear masks, locals 30%. So as long as it is Covid-19 / low season, social distancing should not be a problem. In October occupancy rate was about 20% and hotel staff said they would only take bookings for 60% at this moment. Some other hotels (with Eastern European guests) looked much fuller! Be aware that the Turkish government only counts symptomatic positive corona tests and that the reported numbers cannot be compared with other countries. Consider taking medical approved masks as our minibus driver on the way back clearly had symptoms possibly indicating Corona and many passengers on our flight were not wearing a mask! Rooms: Modern/well maintained/high quality/clean rooms and excellent 2 room apartments for small extra fee. Kitchenette: fridge / coffee and tea making facilities /kettle/filter coffee machine (utensils/plates/cooking plate on request). The rooms around the reception, poolside are facing a speaker with music most of the day (and sun on balcony). Family rooms for small extra fee are high quality 5*, double shower/soap/shampoo included and cleaned VERY well daily/extremely quiet split aircon/quality mattresses medium/soft/ blackout blinds and high thread linen. Use of safe in room 25TL/day / free wifi: 3mb up/down in room Satellite TV with many German and Russian channels and some English channels (70 total). Food: I am a bit of a foody and at home only eat natural ingredients, so I really missed a good pastry chef, adventurous tastes, live cooking (only available on the Italian night), warm deserts, etc. The prepared foods are low on salt, so you can add it yourself to taste. Breakfast: Nice variety of warm foods and salads, fruit, sliced meats (no pork)/cheeses. Bread options limited due to Covid-19 rules, brown bread can be found behind the entrance on the right. (mixed) Omelets prepared to order outside. Coffee: nescafe type machine coffee. If you are used to better quality coffee, maybe bring a cafetière and your own coffee or use the filter machine in the room. Milk/tea/juices from concentrate/etc. The smaller bar at the pool has fresh strong Turkish coffee. Lunch: fastfood at the Aqua pool (burger/chips/pizza) Main restaurant: 1 soup /fish (from frozen)/turkey/chicken and different hot vegetables/ hot dishes like moussake / good selection of salads / different deserts (all cold) and fruits. Dishes mention lactose/gluten/nuts. Dinner 19.00-21.00 (winter 18.30-20.30): See lunch, but with fresh flat bread being baked. Outside every night BBQ fish and meat and on the Italian night pasta cooked to order with pesto, etc. The chef at the BBQ was extremely good in his job as was the guy preparing the pasta meal. We stayed 2 weeks and the food choices kept changing all the time. Good quality (free) ice-cream available all day and a large variety of drinks. Grounds: High quality furnishing/lush green/flowers. There are many non-smoking (and one quiet(ish)) area next to the road available. Medium size grounds, just of a medium busy road. Quality sun bed around the pools. 3rd pool at the back with slides/ fastfood (12.00-16.00) and slides/basketball/football court. (Adult) entertainment every evening next to the bar. Hardly any insects/flies/mosquitos/etc. Ample entertainment for (young) children and adults. Nice pools and very good balanced water quality. You do not get bothered by upselling at the hotel. Location: 20 min walk to the beach via semi paved road (non shaded), optional route via non smelling soil-brick dump/dolmus station/dunes/AMAZING ruines and maybe you can find the old roman road with original paving on the way (or free hotel shuttle 6 times a day). Not far from old town (20min walk), bars available in the area. Walk to the old town is mostly past amazing old ruins/amphy theater/Apollo temple and the small old town is a nice mix of old houses/seaside boulevard/shops/restaurants/bars/harbour, partly uneven pavement, mostly flat. Sandy beach with rounded small pebbles in the water, no shoes needed. Free sunbeds /small parasol on Side dedicated area (right side). Free towel via hotel reception (with deposit). If you are a single female/well spending you are also welcome on the left side, same goes for front row sunbeds. Drinks extra, 50 cents for a water/soda water. Money exchange during our stay: Hotel 8.4/Euro Side town: 8.7 / Western Union at roundabout 500m from hotel 9.0. Migros supermarket 10min walking, opposite the roundabout. We had a WONDERFULL time!

  Fantastic Hotel and Staff

  I recently stayed at the Side Resort Hotel with my daughter, granddaughter and great granddaughter Lydia aged 6 and what a fantastic time we had. Hotel room 1st class as was food and drink. Staff were so helpful and nothing was too much trouble, especially for Ersin and Mohammeyd. They took great care of us and Lydia especially. The hotel coped so well during the Covid pandemic and their attention to protection and cleanliness was second to none. This hotel should be 5 star and we can't wait to visit again when travel restrictions are lifted. Well done everyone!!!

  Very nice hotel

  The staff did an excellent job to make our stay the best it could be in the circumstances. The hotel is very clean , the rooms are excellent and they are cleaned daily.There is air on in all areas of the room and the WiFi is free and very strong .The food was very good and varied to suit all tastes..This hotel is very good in all areas .

  Amazing! 10/10

  We stayed at this hotel in august 20, I had visited a different part of Turkey before and didnt like it but with COVID restrictions we tried again it was the best family holiday we've ever had! The staff were all amazing so friendly and went above and beyond to help we are looking to book again for summer 21. Hotel was extremely clean, we felt very safe with 3 young children and all COVID guidelines are in place Definitely a 10/10 from us!

  Little gem

  We travelled here in September 2020 & the Mrs & I really enjoyed this hotel. We managed to get away during the pandemic & this was pretty much last resort stuff. Her first holiday in Turkey & we were both very happy we had made the choice. Staff were amazing right up to the manager who was always looking out for you, making sure everything was good with your time in the Hotel. Food in the hotel was alright, pretty much about the same most days, but if you mix it up daily it is satisfying. Ice cream served at the pool bar during the day. Snack bar in annexe building next to the waterslides. Hotel is sparkling clean with staff working morning to night. Shuttle bus to beach, but we weren't overly impressed. Beach Bar is not part of the All Inclusive package!! Hotel is close vicinity to a couple of bar restaurants & BK is very close by. The Ruins in Side are stunning by night & a visit to the market in Manavgat a must. The other beach with loads of bars is about 20min walk away & worth it for the sunset.
