A nice Holiday in CalabriaThis resort is really nice and the staff very friendly. Theres a nice little gym, swimming pools and restaurants. You can also have fabulous massages with Samuele who is a Sport specialist and a great masseur. There is a slight lack of tools in the apartments but plenty of towels and bed linen which is a real plus. I strongly suggest this resort to anyone who wants a nice relaxing family holiday in wonderful Calabria.

Family vacation!Had a nice relaxing week here with my family. This is a little quiet resort with no parties, so initially I was worried if my teen daughters get bored. But after all, I can say we all enjoyed ourselves pretty much! We especially enjoyed snorkeling, canoeing along the coast , and playing tennis. Few suggestions to improve might include these: -The canoes for the whole resort were just two on the first come first take basis. So to get one, often there were hassle and tension among the clients. They could have easily resolved the situation just by having at least one or two more canoes available. -Jacuzzi overlooking the sea was nice but could have been open til later. We would have appreciated it after a full day, but it was always turned off at 18.30. -Pizzas at the poolside restaurant were surprisingly good. They were actually great. But then again, they closed at 22. Being in a resort, we sometimes wanted to have a late time dinner or a midnight snack, but it wasnt the case in here. -The apartment had a zero frill inside. It was clean but lacked completely the (vacation)) charm. Couldve been definitely a bit prettier... -A shower curtain should be added( plus our bathroom window was rusty and broken. remained open the whole time!!) -They should put a dining area inside, too. The only table and the chairs were on the balcony, so every time when we wanted to eat inside because it was too hot outside, we needed to move the chairs in and packed ourselves around the little desk used as a table, which was so unpractical. -our safe was broken. We got it fixed, but it broke again. We didnt want to have people around doing work or maintenance job in our apartment during our vacation any longer, so we didnt ask them to come back to fix it any more. But like the broken bathroom window, it should have been fixed. Nevertheless, I am satisfied with our vacation here because it was a good compromise between my husband who just wanted to relax on the beach and my teens who wanted to keep themselves active! Thank you!!

Perfect holidayDue to COVID we doubted for a long period what we should do, but at the end we decided to go. We were not disappointed with this decision. The resort was a perfect place for us, we stayed in the spacious apartment, located a bit more elevated from the main complex. We mostly used the swimming pool next to our apartment, but also the beach (with your own beds reserved for you) and the nearby pool was popular. Bring swimming shoes and snorkel gear, the sea is so clear and there are so many beautiful fish around you, our kids loved it. The restaurant is nice with an open air pizza oven. We loved nearby Tropea, where we went for dinner a couple of times. The region is very diverse and interesting, especially if you like history, mountains inland, a stunning coast and beautiful places like Pizzo and Tropea. A day tour visiting the vulcanic islands is an absolute must. We had a car available for day trips and going out for dinner if we did not want to eat in the resort, but dinner in the resort or cooking yourself in the apartment is well possible. We enjoyed the spacious apartment. The breakfast on the balcony with shade in the morning, and the stunning sunset with the smoking vulcano Stromboli. The atmosphere is no-nonsense in the resort, with very friendly personnel, also in the restaurant. In the resort your spending is registered on a card, you pay at check out. From every spending you will get a receipt. The bill was exact what it should be. We really hope that we are back here some time again. Cala di Volpe, thank you for the great holiday.
