    Relaxing Stay

This was our first Italian 'all inclusive' resort, so we learned a lot and still had an enjoyable time. Check-in was easy and quick. We were escorted to our rooms, which were down the path away from the pool (not far just not directly across). We were saddened by this until the first night when the party started. We are not night owls and the music still found us down the path. Good thing is that it's only until 1230am. Language: - We were told the resort had English speaking employees at the front desk as our Italian leaves much to be desired. Not the case. A tour guide with another group took pity on us and the front desk and translated for us. The children's programs did have English speaking staff. The room: - basic but nice. - bathroom had a shower only. - air conditioning, TV and a small refrigerator. - no in room wifi - ground floor rooms had a small patio with two chairs and a table which was nice. The Pool: - Beautiful pool complete with bar - Not a fan of the swim cap rule, but they were available inexpensively at the store on property. - ** Bring your own beach towels. The resort charges a fee if they provide. - Poolside seating was not sufficient for the number of guests. Add to that the guests who claimed lounge chairs with towels and other personal effects then went elsewhere. The lifeguard began reclaiming these chairs if after they had been unattended for a while. Meals: - Three emails a day were included. Buffet style (sharpen your elbows). - Meals did not open on time during my stay there. The norm was approx 20-30 min late. - Next time we will bring drinks and snacks for the children between meals as there was nothing in between excepting ice cream and croissant from the coffee shop (unless there was something I missed). - The staff prepared scrambled eggs for us each morning when they realized we were American. Great addition to the sugary Italian breakfast spread on the buffet. Beach: - beach access is by shuttle; don't be shy. push your way onto the bus because there was no real concept of a queue. - ** the beach was all rock so water shoes a must Resort parking: - the parking garage/area was an unorganized mess. inefficient. Better if there was an attendant to assist in efficient use of space. Children's programs: - Our children enjoyed the children's program immensely. - The teen group wasn't very structured, so our teen made a friend and they hung out together. Overall: The staff was friendly. The food nice. Drinks were not too expensive. We will most likely return and with our new education our experience will be even better!!!

A nice week in Relais capo spulico ( in general)

We were there for a week. At the general we past nice. We had only a small incident with a reception girl in the first day when she see our pass the racist feeling of her get immediately out. But was a small incident and doesn't mean that was the direction of the hotel. We made a complain for her and the director was very helpful for us and made us feel better and friendly. I hope that will not happen again when we be again there next time. About the incident we had a bottle of champagne and a hour of relax in SPA( to be honest the spa staff forget to writte down our appointment so we didn't had the relax time one one more stress time lol, but is ok this are small things). The animation staff were incredible so nice so friendly something that we haven't see nowhere. They made our days so beautiful so we couldn't think about the other incident there. The organisation of the kitchen was very nice and the food very tasty. Hope the best for you Relais capo spulico, i hope to see you soon

    Great value

Stayed 2 nights as a stopover on route to Sicily. The property is very good but I would rate it 3 and not 4 stars. Rooms are clean but basic. Shower was excellent. Note: The price is inclusive of all meals and garage parking, which makes it real value for money. This is an Italian family resort so the meals are Italian buffet with wine, beer and water included. The food was plentiful, good and came with a selection of antipasti, primo piatti, secondo piatti and dessert. There is also after dinner entertainment. The only extra to pay for is at the bar. Difficult to find any fault for £79 a night for 2

    Awful!

I have no idea how people write positive reviews about this dump and how it can claim a 4 star rating. 2 stars would be very generous. I only booked it for 1 night during a drive from Sicily to Puglia... and boy, was I happy it was just one night. This is an all-inclusive place, apparently for the locals. Our room's carpet was dirty, I have never seen such horrible stains in a hotel. The staff claimed it was "normal", they cleaned the carpet but the stains were not coming off. The room fridge (that's usually filled with overpriced drinks) was empty except for a stack of plastic cups... see the picture. The shower head on a flex hose could not be hung. I could go on and on. Just stay away.
