  Welcoming pet-friendly hotel

  We stayed here mid-week. The hotel was easy to find, with good on site parking, and within easy walking distance of town centre. We were made really welcome by Kevin & Julie and it was easy to have our dog with us all the time - meals in the bar to help. Breakfast was great and we enjoyed our supper, too with lots of fresh local vegetables. We had a large ground floor room and - although its decor needed a bit of an uplift - the bed was comfortable and there was everything we needed including lots of tea, coffee & hot water.

  Stayed here for one night, very dated and in need of upgrading, should have stayed for the week but not my cup of tea so checked out. Didnt sample the food so cannot comment on that. Towel supplied was far too small to dry after showering, room cold, draughty from the window. Would not use again

  Friendly greeting and lovely room!

  Really friendly greeting on arrival and was given a lovely large room. Very comfortable accommodation and excellent breakfast. Good sized car park and very close to the town centre. Will stay again if I am in the area.

  Stayed here for the night in Henry room. Bed was uncomfortable, pillows were flat. The towel rail was not heated didn't work. The bath was tiny. Shower needs needs a good clean. We ate in the restaurant food was ok.

  Lovely friendly hotel

  Stayed for one night over the weekend. (I had booked with late rooms and as they had gone bust they had rang me to double check and confirm my booking, which I really appreciated) I couldn't of found a more friendly welcoming place to stay, nothing was too much trouble when I checked in I was asked if I needed a taxi booking for the evening or directions if I was walking. My room was very comfortable, an extremely spacious en suite and a simple but very practical layout, a few little scrapes and knocks to the decor and bath but everything was in a working order very satisfactory. Breakfast was amazing I've not had such good poached eggs in any establishment I have previously stayed in and the salmon was plentiful. Both Kevin and julie were very attentive and friendly. Will definitely be staying again.
