  At the Ca'd Gnese you live in a family home.

  This is a small rural bed and breakfast run by a mother and daughter team . The B and B was a little difficult to find, but well worth the bother Our room were large and tidy and opened out onto a deck. The bathroom was small but very clean. It was very hot the night we stayed there, there was a thunderstorm and mosquito problems, our sleep was interrupted. At breakfast we were offered a wide variety of Italian and English food. Good coffee and seconds were no problem. Payment is only in cash. Good dining is a five minute drive away. When you stay at Ca'd Gnese you live with the family.

  Cà 'd Gnese B&B, Asti, Italy...Feel like a local!

  It did take a while to find this B & B with my rental's navigational system. If you book here, either call for directions or get directions via Map quest or Michelin. We finally arrived at about 8pm after an hour of trying to find the place and driving up and down winding vineyard roads and stopping at a few local homes to find our way. When we got here the owner took our passports and our reservation confirmation. Be forewarned, if you arrive after 3 or 4 pm (15:00 or 16:00) the owner's daughter (who speaks multiple languages) will already have gone and you will have to communicate in Italian. There was a wonderful restaurant that the innkeeper recommended called Osteria L'Oca Giuliva; I wish I could have dined there more than once. The rooms at the B & B were nice and spacious and very clean. Unfortunately you can hear people talking in the other guestrooms while you are trying to sleep for this is usually true of any house that has been turned into a B & B. Also, like many B&B's in Europe, this one did not have a phone that one could use, even in case of an emergency. I only know because I actually had an emergency and was forced to use the fax machine in the middle of the night, which I know the owner did not appreciate, since it was in her office. In the morning however, her daughter did give me some good directions to find the nearest hospital, which was only about 20 minutes away. (Needless to say, I have since changed my cell phone carrier to one that operates internationally) The home is cleaned daily and is situated amongst vineyards and hilly landscapes in a very quiet area. There are train tracks in front of the property but I did not hear the train at all. The breakfast consisted of juice, coffee, cold cereal, yogurt, and pastries. (and plenty of Nutella for everyone!) I will stay here again if I ever go back to Italy.

  Friendly small hotel

  Small hotel with clean rooms and a very friendly staff. Location is good to visit the area.

  Lovely country hotel & garden!

  Stay was absolutely brilliant! The rooms are clean and cozy with a fridge to chill some vino! Mother and daughter hotel management team were very friendly and helpful. We most enjoyed the gorgeous peaceful garden and pool, laying under apple trees to simply unwind. Although a bit remote, we will absolutely come back again!

  Very nice b&b!

  This place is 20 min drive from Alba. They have very Nice and clean rooms with balcony and private bathroom, breakfast was like at home! We arrived late and they were waiting for us, very nice people,we will be back for sure!
