Nice hideaway at great price! We were looking for 1 extra night in byron Bay and found this hideaway. Great price for a very roomy cottage. Nice stroll through the nature reserve at the back to the beach. Wonderful place for birdspotting.

Quite horrificI stayed here at the suggestion on a family member who's extended group of friends stay regularly. I have to ask myself 'why?'!! Completely run down property, not a 'resort' at all. The rainforest part is nice, but there is no maintenance so there is disintegrating and fermenting plant matter everywhere. Upon arrival to the room, it was clear that the level of cleanliness was not high. The kitchen was full of extremely old cookware and utensils. I brought a my own meals to reheat but felt sick thinking of using the microwave or portable electric cook top and pan. I moved a couple of thing around in the kitchen to provide more space and each surface needed to be cleaned. On the second night of my 3 night stay I woke to several spiders and cockroaches in my room. One spider was at least 15 cms. This was the breaking point for me - I googled hotels with 24 hour reception and left at 2 am for somewhere else without returning to complete my stay. All of the 1 star reviews on here reflect my feelings. For a normally positive person this is a difficult review to submit, but I feel people should be aware.

not a resortThe place was run down and needs lots of tlc! Could be a fantastic place! The setting is beautiful! Only two lounge chairs at the pool, the pool area is dirty, no beach towels provided! This is fine for a budget friend hotel!

Our favourite place in ByronWe have stayed here a few times and absolutely love it. Its a retreat from busy Byron yet so close too. The cabins are spacious and private and very comfortable. If you dont like insects or being truly close to nature then its probably not for you. We loved having a couch outside to sit and sip tea (lots of teas and coffee provided) and watch the forest and creatures. The kids loved the pool and Phillip the owner was always helpful and kind.

Amazing PlaceThis place is heaven on earth. Great place to unwind and be apart of nature... We took our dog with us and the hotel was so dog friendly we could take her everywhere. We were just a 10 min beautiful walk from the beach. The walk to the beach is so much much as its through the rainforest, through the creek that was breathtaking and sneaky way to get to the beach. The place is clean, so beautiful and very relaxed. Phil is awesome :) will be back for sure!!!!
