  Un lugar para descansar

  Fuimos en Abril 2012 con mi esposo y mi pequeña hija de 1 año y medio, el hotel es còmodo, nada de lujo pero tenes todo lo que necesitas, el servicio es muy bueno pero tuvimos problemas con el acceso a internet en la habitacion, nunca funcionò y el Wifi en el hall de entrada no siempre funcionaba, no lo recomiendo para ir con niños pequeños ya que no hay mucho atractivo para ellos, màs que la playa. El mar es increìble pero la playa es pequeña, existen muchos restaurants en el centro de la ciudad o en Saint Laurent`s Gap. Tengo que destacar la seguridad, que es excelente , en relaidad me parece que es morivada por el estado general del paìs, la atencion de la gente del hotel EXCELNTE! tuvimos un episodio en el que tuvimos que recurrir a una ambulancia y la verdad que todo de 10!! recomiendo el William`s tour que ofrecen en el negocio que tiene DEbora dentro del Hotel.

  Quarantine stay

  Hi we travelled to Barbados as soon as we came out lockdown and we knew we would have to quarantine until we received a second negative covid test. Our accommodation was not approved by the government so I chose Butterfly beach hotel based on reviews and their covid quarantine adherence policies. The hotel haven't let us down. We are still here on day 2 and everything is as perfect as it can be under the circumstances. We were given the key to our room straight away and check in was done over the phone from our room. The room is spacious as it needs to be if we are spending 3 days in it. The hotel has designated sunbathing and dining areas if you go stir crazy in your room, which we haven't. If you contact reception they will take a grocery order and deliver it the next day. They even let you order alcohol which is surprising as usually a hotel won't allow this. The staff are so pleasant and can't do enough for you. Room service is great and portions are large enough to save food for later. Our room was well equipped with a small dining area and kitchenette. The rum punches we ordered were delicious, so we ordered more..the staff don't come and clean during this time but they have left plenty of extra towels, loo roll etc..aircon is good and we have a large balcony to sit outside and take in the views..highly recommended for quarantine stay or a stay at anytime..we shall definitely be back..

  Love the place

  We were on the first flight out of the UK after the November lockdown for our second stay at BB, absolutely love it and the lane pool is awesome! The covid regs are a pain the A. alas , needs must, it's something you have to put up with for 72 hours, we were allocated a room with an ocean view and above the designated sunbathing area, please avail yourself of the rules before coming, the staff were brilliant, room service of food and drink, they also organised a grocery delivery, I called reception at 07.40 with a list, had a knock on the door at 08.20, our shopping list was on a table by the door. After our test came back negative we were moved to our allocated room , I paid extra for the pool view and wow, we got a ground floor in front of the lane pool, which is a great addition since our last visit. From then on our holiday was as expected, it was really quiet as you can imagine so at times we had the pool to ourselves, the service from the reef bar was great, the fish cutter went really well with the bucket of ice cold beer,with a view to die for. The hotel is a 15 minute walk to oistins, the bus stop is outside, the beach at either side is a gorgeous white stretch of sand, no shingle and is the perfect place to cool off. Rooms are quite large, small kitchette, a/c, satellite tv, ironing board, hairdryer. The staff are really friendly and a 100% helpful in what is very worrying times , we can't fault them, they will go out of their way for you especially in those first 3 days when contact has to be kept to the absolute minimum, everything you request is left on a table by your room door, food was hot, beer was cold, they don't clean the rooms during quarantine although you can request a towel change, achange if bedding was in the wardrobe should you want to change them in the first 3 days. All this us in the guidelines so please inform yourself before travelling. I'd like to take his opportunity to thank you all for your service during our stay in December, we appreciate it's a very different time, but you all made us welcome and we look forward to seeing you when all this has changed and we can get back to seeing each other without the damn masks!   Not a good place.

  I rarely write bad reviews especially in these tough times but the way we were treated at the Butterfly Hotel is to be flagged. I chose this hotel as it is close to the airport and we were transiting via Barbados to a smaller island. We showed up in the evening understanding we would be quarantined for the 24 hours we were to stay in Barbados; this was totally fine. Unfortunately, we were welcomed by a very rude evening front desk person who would not take the time to explain the hotels exact protocol. When we asked to get more explanations we were told to go to our room immediately! We felt threatened by the tone and flabbergasted by the attitude. We left the following day. As far the hotel is concerned, it is old badly-maintained and clean enough not to run away. Never again. There are enough affordable hotels in the great island of Barbados not to subject yourself to this appalling place.

  Great Hotel

  Im reluctant to post a good review as would prefer to keep this gem to ourselves! We originally booked for 2 weeks to spend our quarantine here and then time to go and look for alternative higher graded hotel for the remainder of our 3 months in Barbados. Quarantine was as expected you have to stay in your room and wait for your results but there was room service and a small area outside to sunbathe if you were going stir crazy. We viewed a few alternative hotels and villas but everytime we came back to butterfly beach we decided we couldnt get the same elsewhere, it had really grown on us and offered everything we wanted so We upgraded to one of the adult only rooms opening onto the lap pool (which was fantastic for working off the pina coladas,)and extended our stay here. The rooms are spacious with a well equipped little kitchenette and the bathrooms are modern. The satellite tv had a few decent channels and whatever sport my husband couldnt find the staff were happy to put on in the bar area. This is a lovely boutique feel hotel, with a great pool overlooking the beach which is pristine and free from the usual beach vendors. The hotel corridors are open air and so look a little dated but were kept immaculately clean. The staff work hard keeping the flower beds tidy and the pool area clean and The majority of the staff were really friendly, especially the receptionists, the guys looking after the maintenance and gardens and security and Amanda the manager, and most of the restaurant staff who always said hello with a smile and would have a chat and laugh with you, and the odd ones that didnt, you will always get in any establishment. The only negative really and why i didnt give 5 points, was that the service and food in the restaurant could be a bit hit and miss, we also did think sometimes the bar staff could have helped themselves during the covid period when the hotel was quite empty by coming around the poolside and offering drinks promoting the menu and happy hour in the day as getting up and putting your mask on and a cover up to go to the bar to see 4 staff doing nothing did seem to be a lost opportunity for sales and improve guest convenience. We had an absolutely fantastic time here though, it felt like home away from home. Location of the hotel is 15 minutes walk to Oistins, 10 minutes walk to the supermarket and a couple of really great bars, or a small convenience store is right across the road. Youre on the main road into St Lawrence Gap, only about 5 minutes in a cab, or on the route for the bus or Reggae Reggae taxis. Just far out of town to be peaceful but easy to get to the nightlife ! The position of the pool and being able to walk directly onto the beach was fantastic. The hotel has a lovely friendly feel that rubs off onto the guests and, we met some amazing people and made great friends here , it felt like a little community. The management and staff did all they could to not let the covid outbreak affect our stay, whilst observing all the necessary covid protocols with a smile and kept us updated as the local rules changed quickly over the new year period. We will definitely book here again and will be back soon!
