  perfect and familiar hotel

  you feel instantly welcome in this hotel, situated in the heart of the village of Bütgenbach. The hotel has been restyled and the rooms are very beautiful. large shower and seperate toilet. Mini bar. Swimming pool, infrared cabin and sauna and wellness. Slippers and bathrobe for free in your room. Excellent breakfast and very good restaurant with an enormous wine list. Easy car park outside the hotel.

  Nice base in Bütgenbach

  We had a small room, probably one of the cheaper ones. It was perfectly good for a two night stay. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and the room was quiet. The shower was fine and all in all no problem. Breakfast was very good - though it got a bit busy - very friendly staff look after you. The location was really good for local walking and biking. The village, which is very pretty, is fully stocked with restaurants and shops, including a Carrefour Market. The only negative thing - you are 'encouraged' to use the hotel restaurant for your evening dinner so much it became uncomfortable.

  Beyond all expectations!

  Stunning room design, superb bed and bedding, tea and coffee amenities in room, friendly efficient staff, the spa facilities and swimming pool just pure luxury and enjoyment, abundant breakfast in a pretty setting.

  Just a very relaxing night away

  We spent one night there. The hosts were very welcoming. Since we took advantage of the special offer "conte d'hiver", we were greeted with a hot wine drink and an apple cake. The room was spot clean and very modern, The evening meal at the restaurant delicious. We enjoyed very much hiking around. This was a very delightful stay.

  An enjoyable stay

  We enjoyed our stay here, especially the pool and the great food that was available even though we only arrived close to 9pm on the first night. Breakfast was great, too, and the staff was very kind and helpful. The only downside was that our room was across the Marktplatz square rather than in the main building, meaning we had to go outside and to the other building for breakfast and the pool. The decision to go there was last-minute so I certainly can't blame the hotel for not having more rooms available, but we felt this could have been communicated more clearly when we were considering our options. Just a short note saying "By the way, this room is not in the main building but in our 'Ferienwohnung' across the street" would have been sufficient notice. Also we found the upper room where we were staying a little dark and the style somewhat old-fashioned. I guess that comes with the building itself which has that sort of feel to it, but perhaps something could be done to make it look a little less dark in the room itself. As mentioned we had a good experience overall though!
