  One night stay doesn't require much

  Good location, quiet place, easy access to the Amur embankment and park. Little bit ostentatious decor but isn't a problem for 1-2 nights stay. Really poor gym - rather small room about 20 sq. meters on sub-basement level with no fresh air. It opens upon special request, seems nobody uses it.

  Great hotel at the Amur river!

  Defintely worth a visit! Great Hotel! I love what they have done with this old building! And it is located in a great location. Staff is professional, friendly and helpful. The rooms are great and clean. The restaurant serves excellent food with a phantastic presentation and they offer a super breakfast. It is THE place to stay in Khabarovsk. It is close to the city and I would stay there Any time again!

  Excellent old world Russian hotel

  This was my third visit to the Parus over the last 20 years. On the one hand, nothing has really changed much. So decor is not exactly modern, but that's part of the charm of staying here. Location is outstanding, with shopping and really good restaurants nearby. Front desk service is wonderful, and always so friendly and smiling. Breakfast buffet is plentiful, but not much change from day to day. The staff will cook eggs to order, but it requires finding someone to place the order. Early in the breakfast hours is difficult to find a server to place such an order. But once completed, the eggs are prepared perfectly and served quickly. Yogurt boxes are served room temperature and for some that's a problem. Salmon is delicious. And best of all is the Russian pancakes with fresh jams. So good! Rooms are good size and the bed is comfortable, if not slightly soft. Housekeeping is outstanding. Laundry service is swift and inexpensive. Bath towels are okay, not great. Other bath amenities are high quality, but difficult to extract from their bottles. Room hair dryers are adequate. Wifi is "tempermental". I found several times when the routers were not functioning. And then were just fine at others. There seemed to be no rhyme or reason regarding wifi disruptions. Air conditioning is quite good. Rooms with a view of the Amur River are highly sought. Make sure you are on either 3rd or, preferably, the 4th floor. The bar service is quite good, and occasionally in the evenings, you can enjoy a very nice piano player. Front door assistance (although not necessarily Russian speaking) is quite good, particularly with luggage transfers.

  Good place

  Good-quality stay however there is a feeling as if it is a communist party top-management pension. Very good location in the historic center of Khabarovsk 100 m from the sight-seeing site to Amur river. IMHO not expensive. It is very clean, good, helpful and respectful housekeeping ladies, pretty good breakfast but room design is a bit out of date. Even though the room is a bit Soviet style, bed was very cosy what was the most important. There were no big problems during our stay however I reserved one type of the room but when I was checking in, they gave me another type so I had to change it. Nothing special but still not perfect. To make impression about the hotel better they couldve made the up-to-date elevator. They have the legend that this place was established as a hotel to accommodate the US president Eisenhower during his visit to the USSR... Couldnt find any proof for that in the Internet. Sounds a bit weird to me... But let them have their cute legend, right?

  Really Unique Hotel

  Beautiful hotel in a great location, right by the river valley. The beds were surprisingly comfortable and shower had great water pressure. The breakfast was also really good with a wide selection of quality foods. Th staff was really friendly and spoke English, worth a visit if you're staying in Khabarovsk.
