  Beautiful property, but service has ensured we will never return

  This is an excellent hotel that obviously prides itself in its appearance. We are return clients, so we requested a room with a river view similar to our previous stays. Nothing about that stay disappointed us until we returned home to find an email telling us that we had been charged for one bottle of water. That may seem trivial, but we took our own mineral water with us, and are absolutely certain we did not use their water. It's not worth the phone call to management to complain, but this experience has made me feel like a common thief. We will patronise other motels in Bundaberg on our future visits, and I have no doubt we will not be missed by this hotel

  Great 2 night stay

  Although the hotel is a little tired it was spotlessly clean, our room was very spacious and comfortable. Although there was a microwave and cook top there was no toaster. The staff are really lovely and helpful. And happy hour at H20 was a pleasant surprise. The location on the river is great and if we are in Bundaberg again we will definitely stay here.

  The Worst

  If you like sleeping with the light on then this is the place to stay. Street light blaring through the louvres all night. Worst night's hotel stay in a decade! Room stank of fragrance and fresh paint. Guest family with children running a muck in their room and screaming until 11:00pm. People fighting out the front of the hotel @ 3:30am. Traffic starts up around 6am. If you want to pay a hotel rate for a bad night sleep then go for it!

  Revised view as new manager fixed situation

  My partner and I stayed here for the weekend of our anniversary and it was also the weekend he asked me to marry him! We had some trouble with being charged a cleaning bill with no information provided about what it was, however the new manger called me and cleared the situation up she was very kind and polite and assured me this situation wouldnt happen again So I am happy to recommend this hotel as the new management is making positive changes Ps dont put lavender petals in the spa bath

  The Bed of Dreams

  We live near Bundaberg so I decided to book a one-night surprise stay for our 26th wedding anniversary, and got Hubby to meet me near there so that he didn't know where we were staying! He sure was surprised when we pulled into the car park. The bed, gosh that bed is made for dreams. Best night sleep we have ever had in ages. The view over the river was stunning, the spa bath was so good. We didn't have dinner downstairs {which I am now regretting} but went there for drinks after our dinner. And the staff were so friendly, so nice to chat to that we are now keen to book dinner there asap. If we ever have another celebration {birthday/fathers day/mothers day} coming up we cant wait to book and stay at Burnett Riverside Hotel. Thank you so much for the cheese/wine platter that you provided. Cheers David and Lisa
