  First Wedding Anniversary Afternoon Tea

  Went to celebrate our first wedding anniversary and it was amazing, great views with deer and other wildlife and the afternoon tea was delicious. The wife and I between us are gluten free and vegan and Burley Manor were more than accommodating and didn't make us feel like we were any trouble. The pot of tea for two was also massive I think we had about 8 cups of tea each. It was a really nice afternoon and we left with full stomachs and a smile on our face.

  Tolerates dogs but not dog "friendly". Think carefully before going with a young, excitable dog.

  I thought the hotel was beautiful, but from walking into the front door to check in, I thought the staff were a little frosty. Although the staff were helpful, I commented to my friend when walking out that they were not very friendly. Additionally, I brought my dog along with me (a doberman/collie cross) who can be nervous of people, but otherwise fine. He is sensitive to those around him, and if those around him are confident and happy then he is also, but we felt like the staff were edgy and nervous around him, which made him feel very anxious and resulted in him barking on the first day when people approached our table. Although he calmed significantly, we felt like we were not really welcome in the bar. Another couple were in the bar with us also who had a dog (corgi so much smaller, but still barked more than my dog), and we sensed they felt the same as on the second night we decided to eat in the local pub and found them in there as well. The pub was loud, warm, friendly and no one batted an eyelid at our dog and so he slept away happily and we did not hear a peep from him. I appreciate the bar and the pub have different clientele, but one made us feel awkward and the other we felt welcome. Overall, the room, hotel and grounds were lovely, but they tolerate dogs instead of being dog friendly.

  Its excellent place to wind down and relax . The staff are very polite and very friendly . Food is very good quality and generous . Its clean and safe during COVID-19 . I would highly recommend it . Location is perfect .

  Friends 30th Birthday

  We had the most special time in one of the festive domes. They were super comfortable and extra cosy The food was delicious and the service was brilliant! We will definitely be returning! Thank you

  Amazing pre-Christmas break

  My husband and I booked 2 nights here in one of the Manor Crown suites and had such an amazing time we stayed an extra night. We were put in the most stunning room with a 4 poster bed and roll top bath and views of the deer park from our window. The room was very spacious and luxurious. The hotel in general was beautifully decorated with a very grand but cosy feel. We ate in the hotel restaurant 2 nights and had breakfast on all 3 mornings. The food was incredible and the kitchen were so brilliant at catering for my dietary requirements. It's so refreshing to go somewhere that can actually tailor their menu to suit dietary needs without any issues. The staff were all wonderful too with a special mention to Joanna who we dealt with a few times on reception who looked after us very well and was so friendly and helpful. The hotel had put in place very clear covid measures too which made you feel safe but without it being impersonal. Honestly don't think we could fault our stay. Thank you so much Burley Manor, we will be back!
