  Wecoming, helpful and a great place to arrive when your tired and weary

  En route fron Scotland to Krakow we picked this hotel because it was close to the autobahn. The journey took longer because of roadworks and we arrived 21h instead of 19h, quite tired after being on the road since Dover at 7h. Everything was as you would expect in a decent German hotel - things in the right place, nothing broken, etc, and the room was nicer than we were able to appreciate. Despite our late arrival and this small hotel not being busy, there was no problem getting a lovely, freshly cooked meal that was good value, washed down with some excellent local beer. Staff persevered with us despite our limited language skills and were at all times friendly and helpful in a genuine sort of way. Ziesar is an attractive small town.

  Burg Hotel

  Excellent Hotel. Warm, friendly and very welcoming. My husband and I have been staying at this hotel for many years en route to Poland. The restuarant has very good food, excellent bread which Holger makes himself. The rooms are spotless and the bathroom facilities are very good, with a good power shower and very hot water. Any problems are immediately addressed. Eating outside in the garden in the summer is very pleasant. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation.

  perfect place for a one night stay

  Stayed here for one night on my way to my holiday destination and I was very satisfied. The check in was very friendly, free parking at the back of the hotel. The rooms were very ok, nothing special, but good size and clean. Decided to have a drink and a meal and again I was not disappointed. After a good night sleep a good breakfast followed, unfortunately the service at breakfast was a drawback... I know they get up early, but a smile or a good morning is not such a big effort... In any case, would stay there again!

  Definitely recommended!!

  We found this address via "Links und Rechts der Autobahn" and as usual using this website you find good locations. However the Burg Hotel definitely made a fantastic impression on us!! We stayed for one noght during our trip from NL to PL. It is close to the highway in a village and very easy to find. The outside looks very welcoming and the welcome by the reception was friendly and swift. The room looked very clean and spacious with just a bit different type of furniture and more than enough space. The bathroom and toilet are also very clean and spacious with a good shower. Beds and pillows are good, we slept very comfortably. Despite the fact our room was a the street side we did not hear much noise, there is not a lot of traffic around. We also had dinner in the hotel and have to say the menu looks somewhat different and is very inviting. And the quality of the food is likewise, fresh and very tasty!! Portions are quite big for an extremely friendly price!! The atmosphere in the restaurant is nice and cosy, The breakfast? Simply top class!! Very fresh bread, also on a Sunday morning with a lot of choice of fresh made salads, fish, eggs with salmon, very nice tasting butter. We were both really impressed by the variety of food offered for breakfast! Will we come back? When traveling to NL and back again for sure we will keep this address high on our list and for sure will recommend to anyone looking for an address in the area!!

  Try the restaurant as well !!

  Arrived on a sweltering late August evening after a nine-hour drive from France. Had dinner in the garden (6 or 7 tables for four). Food turned out to be excellent ! Chef Jens Schumann's young boar medaillons were perfect, panned just right with a thin crust of sliced almonds and a thick dark wine gravy together with fresh Pfefferlinge mushrooms ("girolles" for the Frenchman I am) Plus a very nice local large-size draft lager. Room (a single) was spotless and had unexpected amenities for a hotel of this category : - a bottle of mineral water straight out of the fridge handed to you on arrival to take to your room (mini-bar would really be asking too much for the price), - a confortable bed : 1.4 m wide for a single room ! - a little late night cookie on the pillow, - a bathroom with a real bar of soap plus mini-bottles of shampoo and body lotion instead of the awful all-purpose shower gel squeeze bottles, - Also in the bathroom, a retractable enlarging shaving mirror, which many a four star hotel don't bother to provide, and finally - A little notice on the window handle warning you not to open the window at night with the lights on because of the mosquitoes (a seasonal add-on I believe). A great place to stay when on the road : only 100 km from Berlin on the A2 arriving from the West. Less than 5 minutes from the autobahn exit.
